Training For 2023

The Clubs got to give an official injury update, this is ridiculous. All we want to know is who's actually ruled out for R1

If this and HK Tiger's news is true I'm saying all of the below have various degrees of hamstring issues?

Grimes
Prestia
Broad
George
Gibcus
Like you, I’m not liking the way this pre season has tracked either from an injury perspective.

With Lynch, what’s your guesstimate as to the % of pre season that he’s completed at full tilt ?

@caesar Yeah the coterie that I'm in got invited down and we then had a briefing after. Got there just before 9.00 am and saw all the match sim. They were going at it pretty hard. I was impressed.

I was trying to get around to you but was told to stay with the group in front of the JD stand. We were asked not to leave the ground once we'd entered. Sorry mate. Trying to get down on Monday. Will provide some extra goss then.

Got the Broad stuff second hand from a mate of his that is in the same coterie.

@HKTigerB did they say they were going to have training on Monday as normal or maybe early?

Only asking because the squad is heading to the Golburn Valley for community events on Monday but I do notice that the events are late in the arvo so they may still have time to train before their 3 hour journey?

Richmond Community Events, Open to All Fans- Monday, February 13

MOOROOPNA COMMUNITY EVENT (with Junior X Clinic)

Where:
Mooroopna Recreation Reserve - Main Oval

When: Monday, February 13

Time: 4pm – 5.30pm

ECHUCA COMMUNITY EVENT (with Auskick Super Clinic)

Where:
Echuca South Oval

When: Monday, February 13

Time: 4pm-5pm

None he is yet to join the main group.

The club should've made an offer to Rob Innes that he couldn't refuse after the Grand Final last year.

Good question. Monday didn't actually come up. Next Saturday - open training and then praccie games against North and Melb were the focus. So Monday might not be on. They are all looking forward to the North game and not playing against each other,

I didn't want to have to do this but it's reached that point.

Next time you are there feel free to let them know I will come out of retirement and sort the joint out for 6 months. Obviously they will need to approach the AFL for a soft cap increase but because it's Richmond I'll cut my usual rate.

Gibcus & Smith will be the only players that are officially ruled out i would think at this stage

* Did Luke Teal participate

Thanks so much Caesar,

Any news on Brown. You didn’t have him listed as injured but I think Redford did. Did he play and if so how did he go?

No, didn’t say he was injured right now. Just that he’s had a bad run with them last year and a blip earlier this pre season.

Are these soft tissue injuries just pure back luck or poor management?

Has the change of fitness staff played a part?

Whatever the reason this pre-season has been less than ideal.

How we start the year will be very interesting.

Just to add Broad tweaked a hammie on Thursday. Not serious just a couple of weeks down time. Prestia did lots and lots of running. Of the add on players I'd be adding KB in a heartbeat. The Reds "win" with the after the siren goal was created by KB beating Noah B and Liam on the boundary and and hitting KMac 30 meters out dead in front. Did a few other good things as well.
At least hearing some good vibes , get him in y&b
