Training For 2023

Pretty much no, i will still be going but anything i post on training thread will be more likely any injury concerns.

Far out Caesar, you're messing with my head.

Up till now, I got excited when you would post on this thread.

Now, I will dread seeing you post on this thread.

Yes I could've have used a drink or two on each and every occasion;)
Surely we can get you a sponsorship with Furphy?
Not suggesting for one moment that you align with their values of telling tall tales;)

You’re telling Furphies before the sponsorship has even been finalised.
Bolton an out of tomorrow’s line up
I told you Marlion may miss and he is so prepared you for that.

Didn't pick up anything with Shai, maybe he has nappies to change.

Stopped by Punt Road today for a look and have a chat with Caesar.
It was a very low key session with a few drills and a very short full ground drill. Mate, Pickett and MJR in rehab just running. Tarrant also just a slow jog around and Hopper just doing kick to kick. I’m assuming that other than Pickett (who looks very close) and Mate the others not doing much are just managing their loads. We will know more in the main session on Thursday.
Good news is Lynch doing everything at good intensity plus Jack Graham, Bakes and Sonsie joining in all the drills.
Kaleb Smith looking forlorn just slowly walking the boundary. Nothing else of note.

If Sonsie and Graham play Saturday I hope that means we don’t have to see Short in the midfield. Where he plays, I’m not sure, but please not so frequently in the centre bounces again! Bolton will roll through there as well and probably Dusty and Cotch when the real stuff starts.
Where do we all see this leaving Short? I’m not so sure he can easily slot back into the backline but he’s also not a first choice midfielder for mine..

TIGERS HOPEFUL TRIO WILL FACE DEES

Richmond is hoping to give game time to three key players for its upcoming practice match against Melbourne.

Tom Lynch (plantar fasciitis), Nathan Broad (hamstring) and Tyler Sonsie (hip) all missed out on facing the kangaroos in match simulation, but the Tigers are looking to hand the trio minutes against the Dees on Saturday.

Liam Baker (appendicitis) is unlikely to play as the club continues to monitor his progress, while Jack Graham (toe) has been working towards being available for Round 1.

Young gun defender Josh Gibcus is four weeks into his rehab program after undergoing surgery on his hamstring – an injury that has ruled him out of the early rounds of the season.

Half back for mine & rotate through middle as well it seems but that may depend on who is playing.

I think he will rotate off the bench to where ever someone needs a spell. Could be halfback, wing or middle. Not a bad luxury really he is capable in all those positions.

Looks like Short is a mid. Interesting watch this week to see if the role holds this week.

I think it will go the way of the vlastuin forward experiment.

Shorty will go back and Bakes will go in

Or Shorty out to wing and Marlion will go in.

Talk of Baker being a mid is folly, he needs to bed down a position. If Short played as bad a final as Baker did up in Brisbane it would be posted on here daily.

It would appear he is back and Short is a mid.

Marlion has barely been in a centre square for stoppages, he is a winger in our system.

Thought some had said he was training a bit more as a mid this preseason. Would personally love to see it.

Think there would be plenty of players disappointed with their final last year. Agree, I think Baker is a great ground level intercept defender. Short maybe needs to start at HF and roll up to the stoppages to swap with either Shai or Dusty? Don't think he is a great centre bounce mid. Think he is best 22 but where he plays i'm not sure

Im pretty sure Bakes is going at 100% 3 brownlow votes when he attends 70% centre bounces?

Im pretty sure Marlion gets Norm Smith votes 100% of the time he attends significant centre bounces too???

I think youve temporarily left the planet on this statistical analyses scoop?

I think you forgot to apply a correction factor of 1/X, X being your opinion on a football matter, if @The Big Richo lends his full contrarian weight to your argument
