Training For 2023

Has there been any reports on what injury old Mate has. To my knowledge there's been no mention from the club that he is injured until today.

"Mate's putting back-to-back running sessions together."

He's human block of flats that needs to learn how to run as opposed to taking 10 steps up and down a basketball court :))

Today Wednesday Training/Team Health Check :

My training reports have been done to death so now that Practice Matches are upon us people can see for themselves and my work is done.

Very good news from today:

Broady: said he wll be good to go for the Melbourne game at Casey.
Sonsie: said he also hoped to play in the Melbourne game, (As previously mentioned by @Jonesracing82 it was a slight hip flexer that he has been dealing with the last month, did ball warm-up work today and then a power of running).
Riewoldt: Who on here started that injury rumour? he ain't got one :)

Lynch, Graham, Grimes, Prestia : These are the names you want to see getting through a full session unscathed and they did:)

Picket:: pulled out of training after warm-up, pointed to his groin and then did about 6 laps of jogging. (I am not declaring it an injury as he didn't seem that restricted but will see if he lines up against North on Friday).

Just an Observation:

Kaelan Bradtke: Showed a little bit of strength in the contest today which is promising as I thought it may have been a reason for his previous non drafting? Anyway just something i went away happy about.

Cheers
As usual outstanding Caesar , best in the biz

How things end up for us all depends on injury, even last year with all our injury's and all the close losses we made the eight and only lost to Brisbane by a point in the final.

Training wise we have put an enormous amount of work on around the ground stoppage work, an absolute incredible amount, (talk about focusing on your weakness!). Add to that you now have Taranto & Hopper in your armoury.

Running wise, especially post Christmas, has all been with ball in hand, sessions have been long and constant ball flow and overlap, (more so than last year), GPS numbers would be up IMO.

We have had a number of key players that we have been nursing/managing to the line so interesting how that stacks up round 1.

I think there will be 4 very good sides this year that all have improved their list profiles but we should be aiming for top 4 from where most GF's are won.

Does that mean Caesar that you will not be updating us on training over the coming season?
Pretty much no, i will still be going but anything i post on training thread will be more likely any injury concerns.

As always @caesar thank you so much for your reports over the off season. It is clear to see from everyones responses how much connection you are able to make between the club and us mere mortals who can't make it to training (but are still keen to hear about it). It would be an especially barren few months without your updates.

I reckon a club community award / recognition type situation would be very much appropriate (if they are happy to award spies that is haha).

Genuinely can't express how thankful I am for your efforts. Legend.

I've been on Tylar Young all pre season and he has only started to get press now.
Yes Juddy a smokey even for round 1.

Young was my first choice pick in the draft followed by Green S, the guy we actually got. Needles in a hay stack that eventually came up!

Havn’t actually seen either so far this year but based on your reports and last seasons form both Clarke and Young have further progressed, and would be great inclusions v Carlton.
Hopper, Taranto and Cotch continuing with their good form from the midfield, would probably make that more likely.

Great thread and most welcome during a very very long and boring off season thanks to Caeser for all his posts

Im extremely happy and confident with our list at the moment and truly believe we are in a premiership window and will be for 2023 & 2024 and some of the kids we have drafted fill a massive need , Young & Bradtke specially and hope we find our next Rookie guns with these 2 boys.

I think we are probably still 1 KPF short on the list and im sure Blair and his men are working on this
Lets all keep our fingers crossed that some or most of our kids develop and become very good AFL players

Lets go Tigers

Thanks for your tireless efforts Caesar - not just for this summer but for all the hot dry days you've put in over many years.
