If we have 8 picks in the first 24, can keep pick 6 and get pick 2 it would have to be worth looking into. We'd at least still have 6 or 7 top picks, not putting all our eggs in one basket like Carlton

West coast ended up giving us Hawthorn’s pick 14 anyway. They got Baker and Owies for a 9 spot drop in the draft. They still have to deal on Barass.
Would be amusing, then, if we landed Allen with pick 11.

It seems likely that Blair kept 51 and 61 for just this scenario, and will send them back to get this deal through.
Bolton for 11 and 12 is also as low as we will go.
Looking like West Coast will split 3 in order to get Baker. Futures are flying around and one of ours might see pick 3 finish with us.
Also it won’t surprise if we bid on both Ashcroft and Marshall. Ashcroft at 1 might see us wind up with a later successful bid on Marshall who I believe we should also be looking at.

They still have the deal for Barass which is likely to be a couple of decent future picks.
Not sure they have done that badly.
It's 10 and 11, mate. Minimum. Reckon we're still trying to squeeze them for 10, 11, 18 (or 30).
