Trade Week - Richmond Only

I heard 23, but it changes on an hourly basis. The most recent article said 6 and 29. However, you think 6 is overs, so I assumed you’d be prepared to accept the Gold Coast’s 3rd pick, given that they want to give 13 to Collingwood for Premiership Star John Noble…oh wait…
No I never said 6 was overs. I believe he's worth more than 6 but not beyond the realms of possibility that's what we'll get. 6 and 29 would be a best result imo.

Bolton is not suddenly worth 2 first rounders, he is worth two firsts every day and has been for 3 or 4 years. He's a gun, a star, elite. You may not think he is, but the market does.
Geez, read through my historical posts on Bolton, I agree, I think he he is worth 2 1st rounders. You missed my point. I was referring to those who have been bagging him out as soft, lazy downhill skier with no heart or desire suddenly saying he's worth 2 x 1st rounders. It can't be both imo.

I’m me thing that annoys me about the coverage of trade and the like is how stupid some trades put forward by the journos are. On one site they say we are favoured to get Brisbane pick 20 as we can send them our 5 picks between 32 and 45 ( 1700 points). Brisbane would do that in a heartbeat but not sure why we would ever contemplate overpaying for that pick. I would bid on Ashcroft at one and angle to get 20 plus next years first for enough points to match him

*smile* the picks. *smile* those who want to leave.

Keep them to their contracts and stick it up them

Let the media stew on that. Biased pricks.

The Graham compo was the merely the first shot across the bow and the signal to everyone that they're not going to let us get away with it.
get away with what exactly? doing our best to rebuild our club from being on the bottom of the ladder? how dare we!

Agree we have to many first rounders tbh. Let’s consolidate them so we have fewer picks but all inside 10.

[was actually joking here - can you imagine the reaction from the AFL boosters?]

This is crazy talk. the AFL win by having a powerful Richmond.
It will take us a good 5 years to get back into the window at a minimum. Unless these draftees can impact in the short term.

That’s true, but for some reason they keep trying to screw us over.

We'll only be doing exactly what the AFL socialism system requires of clubs in the comp.
We dragged our raggedy arses off the bottom of the comp, got to play a couple of unsuccessful finals, won a flag or 3 ( oops ) then dropped back down to the bottom of the ladder where we have to trade n draft well to hopefully work our way back towards finals and maybe a flag again one day.
There was a great big article in the Hun last week about Colin Carter that legendary AFL and Moggies manipulator who invented exactly how the salary cap n draft n trade systems were supposed to operate so that everyone could rise n fall periodically and have some chance at winning a flag. Instead of just 2 or 3 power clubs winning everything all the time and the rest just being feeder clubs.
