Trade talk 2019/20

Bizarre why the Saad deal took so long. All the picks used were with both clubs (ie. no secondary trading) and looks relatively fair for both sides. Seemed like such a obvious trade but then you have the Dodo effect.
Shocking decision form Carlton.
You don't give away first rounders for flankers unless they're castagna quality.
The best running half back line in the comp, but what are they running into? Casboult and Money bags McGovern :rotfl1 :rotfl1 :rotfl1

Yep. Horrible deal by Carlton. A top 10 pick should always be used for A Grade quality. Saad doesnt fall into that category.

Lol Carlton.

yep.

Saad for pick 8 and $900k a year for half back flanker Williams. Basketcase.

we have nothing to fear from Carlton, Collingwood or Essendon for the foreseeable future.

actually we have nothing to fear from anyone for the foreseeable future.

I think Port and Brisbane if they can get Daniher right (unlikely) will keep us on our toes,

but that's about it.

I think The Suns will be the post-richmond premiers, but they'll be waiting a few years

Once they'd committed to him, were always giving Pick 8, but agree, if it was my club I'd be disappointed to be giving a top 10 pick for a half bank flanker.

I guess in the end not like Geelong got that much more for Fogarty - 5 picks later at Pick 22 than Higgo, same draft.

The Geelong Cats trade Lachlan Fogarty and its Rd 2 (38) selection to Carlton for its Rd 2 (30) and Rd 3 (51) selections.

They have fallen for his top 3 finishes in the the Essendon
B&F.
Pity he didn't have much to beat.
Stupid decision.
Luckily enough Essendon will *smile* that pick down the drain picking up another dud.

Appears St Kilda looking at Garthwaite . ‘Source SEN.
Wasn't that just a caller proffering? RFC would get nothing for Garthwaite if he did leave and wouldn't blame him for doing so if there was an offer out there.

If I was a Carlton fan I wouldn’t be happy about the price of Saad, particularly as he’ll be 27 during next season. In my opinion top ten picks should only be traded for players who are 24 or under or game-breaking champions (such as Cameron). The average player drafted between 6-10 plays 123 games, really doubt Saad will reach that for Carlton.

Caught it at the end.
Wasn’t sure Dwayne went with it or a caller/sms???

I wouldn’t want to keep losing players.
Our depth sooner or later will get tested with reduced list sizes coming into play for the coming years...

Waiting on confirmation of list sizes is playing a part on players such as Garthwaite...

Just my view.

Part of the deal is a swap of pick 86 and 78.
At that deep in the draft there is minimal difference. Likely there,ll be only those clubs and north left so its shifting 3 maybe 4 spots.
Crazy and valueless.
Like arguiing over $100 on the price of a $million house

Brisvegas, Port and Cats will be around.
Weagles, Saints & Bullies to tread water. Filth to go backwards :gotiges

Rest don't matter.

Is Saad deal on or off... I’m seeing conflicting reports all over the shop

Maybe Carlton just decided they couldnt stomach Dodo for any longer.
