I'm Buxom had a minor issue so didn't run, probably going to Geelong next Thursday. Fabric ran another !@#$%%@@ second. Was backed from $11 to $3.50 but was very green and will be much better for the experience.
Happily to Be in the first at Echuca today to try to break this run of seconds, only 5 in it so should run in the first five but is a little different to the rest of this crop of Waikato Stud fillies/mares is probably best suited around 1200m unlike the others that are all 1600m+ types. Should go ok but would prefer to wait and see - but have had a few dollars each way at $10.

Roughies for the weekend - Libran MV race 8 no 10 and Artful Rambler Adel race 7 no 4 both each way and appear good value

Good punitng all

Fabric ran pretty well, and gee it was backed for a stack. You must have had plenty on T44. The winner had zero form too, was a but suss.

Good spot 44. Id only offer 1/3 the odds on offer if i was holding the bet. Ive followed you.

Went EW on K last night so no damage, but provides an exhibit in the Leysy V easy, dispute regarding the importance of barriers.

Im giving el dorado dreaming another chance today.

2 bets for me.

edit after MR3: jeez 44, outstanding run. another 50m and she had it. I took a decent bit of 7/2 the place so have a decent launching pad :fing32

at times, you have to work around the edges of another man's claim to find some colour. ;D

pretty sure 44 will have turned a profit, someone needy may get a burger in his neighbourhood, and he bets again next week.

Mamzelle Tess really was an uplifting 2nd at 20-1.

Libran ran a drum too

Great to see Winx shut that Pommy **** up, what a champion she is.

Excuse a bit of self indulgence.

I was a huge fan of Fiorente, he had a 3 year old win the last, i was on him at $51 the win and $9.25 the place. The beers are sliding down.

Ho hum another second Mamzelle Tess - got $4.20 the place so will contribute a $20 to a less fortunate in the next few days. No shortage of them unfortunately. For a few strides thought she might have caught the leader but not to be. Had a good days punting and ended up with my nose in front. Beats losing!

Onwards and upwards, might have a couple running during the week but really looking forward to Derby Day next Saturday.

Good find the winner of the last tigerman.

Cheers T44, good punting yourself with Mamzelle Tess.
I'm in good form at the moment I got the Trifecta 25 times in the Cox Plate.

I love this time of the year, good weather, good horses and good drinking :cutelaugh

:hihi. I agree, but it feels a hell of a lot better after the tigers win the flag.

Did I read right that Weir ran Kings Will Dream in the Cox plate with a fractured pelvis?

WTF?

A completely different injury than the one he suffered in the Caulfield Cup easy.

I'm glad Hughy Bowman didn't ride Winx like Mike Smith rode Zenyata when she was going for her 20th win on the trot, he slaughtered her.

She missed the start maybe he probably could have tried to tack on a little earlier?

It was an inspired effort to save ground and get her into the clear at the top of the straight though.

Nowhere near the worst ride I've seen. Without seeing the side-on footage hard to really know what she missed the jump by.

Yes she missed the kick, surprisingly Smith let her lose even more ground in the first half of the race which proved to be the difference.

The winner was a bay colt named Blame, but it was Zenyatta’s jockey, Mike Smith, who took all of that. “It was my fault,” he sobbed at a post-race press conference, “she should’ve won. It hurts more than I can explain.”

Have one in Race 2 at Bendigo tomorrow, The Ceremony - would be rapt if she could finish 2nd! From what she has shown so far is limited and couldn't recommend her to anyone - but have had a small each way bet just in case ......
At Geelong Thursday we get a bit more serious with Queen Leonora fronting up and I'm Buxom first up - both are very good chances and waiting on prices but would expect each way odds for both and should be about the money. Be Instant might go around at the Valley Friday night which would be a good pre-cursor to Derby Day and Cup Week. Will post more later if I hear anything further.

I did have the joy of making an unfortunate's day yesterday thanks Mamzelle Tess! Will post the Unco's bet on Friday.
