Heatherly beat Wild Rain.

Hetherly and Wild Rain. Nothing between them formwise. My view is that Wild Rain is right in this. That Viddora may even have an edge on Heatherly. (See Farmer Joe's Norman Carlyon carnage.) So Viddora. I like the stable. I hate the rider. But 2 gate. All he has to do is keep her off the rail if he doesn't ping.

Viddora couldn't get beyond five furlongs as a filly. (See failures.) This is five. But she may gat five and a half now that she's a big strong lady.

I can tell you that we'll be making money off Viddora this spring. Punters aren't seeing her coming. Smart. I've backed her today.

Hellbent's win over Sheidel. First, Sheidel is soft. Must get a cuddle. With a cuddle, that is at her best, she is cut below these. (See McEwen.) It's really only a matter of principal but she gave Hellbent 4kg at the scale. It's that she's soft - she can't lead. (Tactical ride was smart in the circumstances.)

Hellbent scorched home an 11.15 final furlong. That is Chautauqua sh!t. (Super Cash managed an 11.54 earlier in the day.)

I'm not potting the favourite but I'm ready to risk him at the cramped odds well up in grade. I'll trifecta him and mine.

Good luck, PREnders!

Going to watch the first couple of races to see how the track plays. With the rail out 6 metres, i think it might be an inside, leaders bias.
Gunna try and just watch today, although the mug punter in me thinks that Sertorius might get a soft run on the fence and run into a place.
I backed Pemberley before the draw, he drew 17 so don't like his chances too much.
Sacred Master has got the Waller polish, has drawn well and is good value.

Good luck everyone.

My daughter was born on Caufield Cup day the year Diatribe won. I backed him. It was a helluva day. Ive always enjoyed the Caufield more than the Melbourne Cup.

The Turnbull is the best form for The CC IMHO.

Jameka beat the Turnbull field by as much as Hartnell beat her.

She stays, loves Caufield, she sprints. she wins.

That was easy, easy.
That's how you like to see them win.

Jack, you were stiff with Viddora. Couldn't get clear for an age and then finished very well.

Nice work, easy. Champagne and oysters tonight for you.

yeah nah. One week at a time spookyman. Im just building a stake to whack Winx.

I got a pretty *smile*ing decent stake today. :fing32

Winx wins, and I'll be chartering a jet to go get some Maine Lobster. :hihi

I was freaking, deep inside, when she was throwing her head everywhere tigerman.

But it turns out that was just her way of saying

"For *smile* sake Hally, im heaps faster than these pommy *smile*. just let me go"

Spot on, Spook. If Kennewell wants to pull off a heist in the big smoke he should leave Bowditch at home next time.

Good call on Jameka, ET. Very handsome price by the jump too. Murdered them.

Walker ruined my weekend. Got 80s Almoonqith but couldn't get a clear run. Had a big % of the quad last night but again Walker was looking to the features and refused to go for a gap. He's a glamour rider but has been known to sleep with the lights on. Oh well, he's better than Bowditch.

Looking forward to the CP this week. Going to be the first one I've missed for 7 years sadly :(

well done bro. That plan came to-bloody-gether.

I was doing heavy building today with a builder mate on the house. It was a frenzy, wanted to sneak off to the pub to back it but couldn't, so I did my bit.

thanks. I'll get you a lobster next satdy

Well played, easy. She destroyed them. Do you think she might have another win lined up in a couple of weeks?

You're in the box seat for a very good spring here. Let's hope they keep dropping. Red hot form.

:clap

I can't complain, spook. Another day for me. Liberty was well clipped and scratched at the barrier.

Our man heats up alright. He should be living off the good stuff.

Almoonqith was a pretty good MC trial, Gyps. Might be a dollar there for ya.

I suspect Hartnell will be better weighted Capn? But he might be looking around for a paddock after Winx destroys his spirit again.

I wont be backing any 4-1 chances in a Melbourne Cup anyway. 2 mile handicaps are for nanas IMO.

Im usually looking to the Draft after the Cox Plate.

And Yeah, theres a spring flowing with bookies $, sprung out the side of my hill.

Stewards report from yesterday's Caulfield meeting. They had plenty to do. A stack of unlucky runners.

Pakistan Star was given no chance. Jumped okay and the anchors were pulled on. Absolutely motored home but Chadwick hit the gas pedal too late, probably under instruction. Beast of a horse with a freak turn of speed, finishes quicker than a Tiger supporter's September dreams.

The very lightly-raced All Out of Love goes around in the Derby Trial tomorrow at Geelong. (Geelong Classic, these days.)

Has balls. And is very well bred. He's supposed to be a toff but hasn't proved it yet. He's green and a bit gangly.

Have a look at his run a fortnight ago when second up from a let up -

https://www.racing.com/form/2016-10-02/flemington/race/3

Have another look at the final 75m if you're not seeing it.

I'm a big Walker fan and I like Dabernig too. David less so unless it's a toff race like a Derby.

$18/5 tomorrow and $51+ around for the Derby.

Like it, Jack. Nice long stride and looks like he'll appreciate further.

I've had a nibble at the $7 for Miles of Krishan in the last at Geelong tomorrow. Freshened up after a brave win over 1400, back to 1200 where she's 2-1-1-0. Will have more if the rain stays away and the rail is ok because she'll be up front and fights on well.

By the way, $61 available for All Out of Love in the Derby with Ladbrokes. $34 with Sportsbet, the tightarse, lily-livered chickenhearts.
