On Dolly, what, nine wide all the way? Must've drawn nine. Was it a Blue Diamond? Slaughtered to victory. ;D To be fair he's in career best form. Did you find the Hawkes? Impressive in poor company. Will win again soon.
Yeah, I might have smashed the $5. ;)

Found Murt the Flirt at 7s in R5 and hammered Plot The Course at 3s in R4, but still needed the get-out stakes to finish in front. Ah, punting. ;D

$8 straight after the Naturalism. Topped up with some $4.

If she runs faster than all the others, I'll be going all up Winx in The Plate.

Although watching the George Ryder, Hauraki pushes her, relatively to every other horse shes raced in the last 12 months.

and Hauraki's Epsom was one of THE most slashing runs ive seen in a while. Its The Valley, so slashing runs will be difficult, but I think im just worried enough to have a 10% saver on him. If Winx and Hartnell are going toe to toe at the 600m, it could

be set up for a slasher

$7 mean price would be pretty hard to find these days. easy.

Hauraki. He's improved a little bit. Just evening out his bumps a bit. This is not quantum improvement IMO. We can benchmark form from him. Ergo. Winx was off on the day. And Hughie told us that anyway. ANd Hauraki's form in front of Dibayani would, if reversed, justification for retiring Hauraki.

A little bit more on Hauraki, I think he's sound ATM. I think his non-winnerness, his historic muttness in the final 50m was due to unsoundness or less than full fitness. Or maybe maturity. I suspect it's soundness. Dodgy back or something come good.

He's over that now and he's a genuine racehorse.

Thank God for Winx. Maybe a 3yo will come through. The 3yo sprinters might be good.

Well played, brother.

I was going to post some Murt the Flirt footage this morning. Interesting horse/stable. I will a bit later.

I missed Shiedel on the weekend after backing it first-up. Big night Friday and was still wiping the sleep from my eyes.

You're supposed to stay up until after the races. ;D

I've got a sob story Jack, I've got to get it off my liver!!
I've been taking Seaburge and Sebring Dreams to put value into my multi's and all ups. They have been "back me next start runs".
Well I left Seburge out for a couple of reasons , I liked Leysy's tip Shiedel, but also have been following the Sydney mare Ravi, she drew the car park but I thought that mightn't be too bad thinking that she'd get cover and probably prefers to come down the outside.
So I took a few 3 leg all ups, He's our Rokkii to win, Star Turn to win with Sebring Dream (with the blinkers on) and Ravi to run a drum.
Sebring Dream runs another back me next start run, to miss the place, SEABURGE runs 2nd and Ravi runs 4th.

I have a question, would you agree that i THINK too much!!!! :hihi

That's a natural Super Yankee or even better limited parlay, Tigerman. Seaburge is all the value there. It's the one you start with IMO.

You've landed three of five. I can tell you that you'll go broke taking the big ones. Three is usually my limit now.

But if you land that five bet it's what, 5000/1?

I can tell you that I land more than my share of threes and I've had dozens going for a squillion to a dollar and they are gettable. I've only landed a couple of fours and I've sacked them. Almost. ;D

I just take the odd four or fiver for a dollar now if I have one. Lotto with a story.

BTW the Hayes comers will win on the weekend, won't they? You sticking? I haven't done the form yet.

Broo, you know how old I am.

Pfft. Take a concrete psychoactive. ;D

BTW I slept through Cedarburg, Rangirangdoo and Sepoy all declared. 2500/1. (I bet all up.) When I woke at 18:00 my phone was full of missed calls and congratulations messages. After that the Gyps would come around on the days of my declarations with Gatorade and drag me to a TAB. That worked out ok.

You need offspring.

You got any? (Not offspring, the concrete stuff. Let's go to Lily Blacks.)

Had a little all-up bet on Throssell in the Derby. Had Arrhythmia last start. $26 or $41 when you boost it with Ladbrokes. Just a tipple.

I'm behaving ATM, spook. :)

Arrhythmia was a certainty beaten. Will go on. ;D Srsly I haven't done much 3yo form this year. Hope you're right!

Lucky Liberty was always about him being progressive. Headed for listed company. He destroyed them second up for eighteen months. Have a look -

https://www.racing.com/form/2016-10-01/caulfield/race/2

He's well up in class in the tenth on Saturday. And unders at $26. We should get better. I don't like the jockey at all. Not at all.

This is his race. He goes best fresh. Shame about the rider. I'm taking the $26. I think he'll firm.

Sunday 16 October race 11 Sha Tin. Can Pakistan Star make it 3 from 3? If you haven't seen his first two starts get your khyber onto youtube. Three words describe what we've seen so far. Wow, just wow.

I've been on Seaburge all this campaign Jack :'(, but i wasn't happy with how he ran through the line in his 2nd and 3rd up starts. So with the Sydney horses coming down i thought i'd leave him out, a rookie/mug/smuck's mistake ;D
He's our Rokkii was the horse to have as the banker, he was my bet of the carnival (value wise) thus far. I had a good punt on him and also a smaller one on Sebring Dream at $34. I thought the way Rokkii went to line on Saturday he is wanting more ground, but i think they are aiming for the Emirates.
I haven't had a look yet but agree that what ever Hayes has got running should be considered in calculations.

That 2nd win was incredible, the jock was scrubbing his ears off trying to get him to run.

Caulfield, R2.
Acatour. I have made some nice $ backing this colt both starts this prep. Punters and bookies are onto him now and he's around $2.60 for this. Short, but Morton's Fork is probably the other runner with his turn of foot in the race and he's short too. Valliano (Hayes) at $20 is worth a spec given he had to go back from a wide draw in the Guineas Prelude, come around the entire field and plugged on to finish 4.4L behind Sacred Elixir and even closer to Seaburge. Lane on, Currie off helps, and he'll be a lot closer from the inside draw. But he's giving Acatour 3.5kg.

Waddyoo reckon?

Race 9 Caulfield

Viddora.

I think Hellbent spotted Sheidel a huge start, came wide round the turn and still gave her windburn.

He did, spook. He's rightly favourite. But they're all doing that to Sheidel. Viddora was three and four wide all the way when narrowly beaten by Heatherly. That's Heatherly form. It lines up with Wild Rain form.

Viddora was eight wide all the way when she beat Ocean Embers the previous start. NB Ocean Embers - fourth in the Schillaci.

In each of the two featured runs Farmer Joe slaughters Viddora. But for his retaining the ride I'd declare Viddora each way and maybe quinella.

BTW if the old champ turns up this will get ugly. Probs not gunna happen but.

Yeah, true. And Heatherly beat Chataqua.

Heatherly beat Wild Rain.

Hetherly and Wild Rain. Nothing between them formwise. My view is that Wild Rain is right in this. That Viddora may even have an edge on Heatherly. (See Farmer Joe's Norman Carlyon carnage.) So Viddora. I like the stable. I hate the rider. But 2 gate. All he has to do is keep her off the rail if he doesn't ping.

Viddora couldn't get beyond five furlongs as a filly. (See failures.) This is five. But she may gat five and a half now that she's a big strong lady.

I can tell you that we'll be making money off Viddora this spring. Punters aren't seeing her coming. Smart. I've backed her today.

Hellbent's win over Sheidel. First, Sheidel is soft. Must get a cuddle. With a cuddle, that is at her best, she is cut below these. (See McEwen.) It's really only a matter of principal but she gave Hellbent 4kg at the scale. It's that she's soft - she can't lead. (Tactical ride was smart in the circumstances.)

Hellbent scorched home an 11.15 final furlong. That is Chautauqua *smile*. (Super Cash managed an 11.54 earlier in the day.)

I'm not potting the favourite but I'm ready to risk him at the cramped odds well up in grade. I'll trifecta him and mine.

Good luck, PREnders!
