Folding Gear from the same race put in a damn fine run at Caulfield. Should be a good race.
A number of good horses in the field. Should be a beaut.

Sounds like you're going to make it odds-on!

Already on LTR, got on yesterday at 6-1. If you are going to get on, do it now as more $$$ will come tomorrow.

Last time I got on with mail like this was a long time ago and the horse was "Roman Arch". Got backed from 12-1 into 4-1 on the day and won by 5 lengths at Headquarters, hoping for the same result.

OK boys and girls, Im going out on a massive limb here and declaring it now.

Best bet for the carnival is running around tomorrow in race 8, number 2 - SHAHWARDI. This will define if I have a ripper carnival or a stinker.

Good luck if you get on, if it loses i might disappear for a while..... :hihi

Good enough for me Archy; I'll join in.

Strong race with a lot of interesting runners and chances. The Godolphin top weight ran 6th in last year's Melbourne Cup; only beaten less than 3 lengths.

Re: Thoroughbred Horse Racing [Merged]

Don't mind He's Remarkable in the Emirates in an extremely open race. I like Kiwi horses at their first Australian start in a preparation.

Re: Thoroughbred Horse Racing [Merged]

Have also taken the following quadie-
F/1,3/2/F and hoping for a couple of roughies. Emirates is a non betting race for mine, far to open and anything could win it.

Good punting all.

Re: Thoroughbred Horse Racing [Merged]

Good racing tomorrow, was going to head out for leysy's 3rd stint this week, but Mrs leysy's nipped it in the bud. >:D

Leysy's keen on the two PRE spruik horses in the QE. Sided with Shawardi, save on Dare to Dream.

Sticking with Buffering in the Patincak. Temble of Boom at odds also worth a nibble.

Emirates - Great race. Make a case for many. Free Wheeling on top. Smoking Joey at 40's the best of the roughies for leysy.

Silent Achiever the moral to put everything through.

Good luck all, may you retrieve your losses or multiply the wins.

Re: Thoroughbred Horse Racing [Merged]

Although not a favourite punter normally I think Puissance De Lune & Fawkner will be very hard to beat

Re: Thoroughbred Horse Racing [Merged]

Bailey V Nikolic for those interested (audio only). Racing is actually in a pretty ordinary state ATM.

Re: Thoroughbred Horse Racing [Merged]

I know it's poor form to claim a bet just after the race but got $13 on Mental via Betstar's Double Fixed Odds. In front for the week now.

Re: Thoroughbred Horse Racing [Merged]

Spirit Song at $15 on Betfair/$25 on Betstar double fixed is the bet of the Emirates.

Re: Thoroughbred Horse Racing [Merged]

They were saying on the radio that there was plenty of money for Happy Trails - still paid $13 and none of mine was on it :p

How was that run by Puissance De Lune  - unfortunately everyone's going to hit its fixed odds for next year's Melbourne Cup.

Puissance De Lune now $8 for next year's Cup. Next best, Fiorente, at $15.

It was a extraordinary run, but $8 for next years cup is absurd. Even if it runs, it'll be better odds than that. Anyone want 10's, pm me and i'll write you out a ticket.

Showed an impressive turn of foot and they were effusive on the 7 telecast, but it's worth noting the last five sectionals were each slower than the Melbourne Cup's, and he's unlikely to be weighted on the limit again. He probably beats that field at whichever tempo they want to run, but there are sterner tests ahead.

Re: Thoroughbred Horse Racing [Merged]

Yeah amazing win that. Need to do the times but had a lot in hand.

Tough week for all us punters (including leysy), been a ripper spring before now but we've given some back & the bookies are eating the caviar tonight.

Great run and potentially great horse but not sure Boss had to act like such a *smile*.
