Thoroughbred racing

Re: Thoroughbred Horse Racing [Merged]

Think Helmet will lead all the way with the light weight. Agree on Americain's weight - extrememly well in under the conditions. Think it will win but reckon Dunaden will have its measure in Melb Cup. $1.24 Mana and $1.07 BC on Betfair.

I prefer this one of Francesca when she found out leysy was married.

Glad you said WAS jb. Its spring with Francesca in the city.

& Yes Helmet could well lead all the way. Descarado out makes a big difference to how the race could play.

Re: Thoroughbred Horse Racing [Merged]

Best each way bet of the day in the Cox Plate Efficient. He will storm home. Good odds too for the old boy.

Re: Thoroughbred Horse Racing [Merged]

Really keen on Red Rain in the 3rd.

Super win on debut, then went to town and didnt handle the track. To the paddock he went.

Came back with a soft kill (against older horses) at Ballarat, steps up here, with some speed on up front, watch for him to run all over the top of them.

Take the $8 and you'll enjoy the rest of the day.

Re: Thoroughbred Horse Racing [Merged]

Funny you say that Draga, leysy gets some mail from the Ellerton stable on occasion and was given the nod on this one this morning.

Will join you for a dabble.

Re: Thoroughbred Horse Racing [Merged]

Obviously very much so JB. Great run and ride by Williams. Good news for me is the old man backed it in the family syndicate!

Re: Thoroughbred Horse Racing [Merged]

Bloody Ocean Challenger at $52 in the last!

I had three legs of the quaddie (10%) and had the second, third and fourth place getters and this $52 outsider gets up.

Americain should brain them in the Cup. How easy was that?

Americain was very well in at the weights today Spook. Dunedan has beaten it a couple of times overseas, think it might be the one.

Despite being very impressive today not sure about that.

As JB said the other French horses that have had its measure at home meet him far better at the weights in the Cup. i.e Dunedan, Jukebox Jury.

Re: Thoroughbred Horse Racing [Merged]

Apologies Remote.

It clean slipped my mind again to get my bet on :-[ :-[ :-[

Move on to the next punter and I'll put in a fine to cover the last two weeks.

Aware of that but the big horse looked magnificent. Better than Dunedan did in Geelong. Jukebox is the unknown, having beaten both but not run here. Bart will have Illo cherry ripe and if Bauer gets in there's four who could win it. I reckon if you beat Americain you win.

Re: Thoroughbred Horse Racing [Merged]

I have been using an old gambling trick of letting the profits run on Black Caviar. Depending on what odds i get over the next few races the 'Rule of 72'means that I'll double my money in a a few more races. Interesting to see if it can make it.

Should be be ok, it has Leysy's seal of approval

Streak - The PRE Punters club is set up to have fun and try to raise money for PRE to pay for admin costs etc.

To me fines are not part of fun - and mate - we are all forgetful at times - we all understand - no fine payment will be accepted - we might move onto the next punters though......cheers RT

Re: Thoroughbred Horse Racing [Merged]

So You Think is heading to the US for the $5 million Breeders' Cup Classic. With the local contingent not terribly strong this year, he's well in the market at around 6/1. Conditions should suit - dirt racing bias towards on-pace runners, 2000m, tight track. Start time is 10:45am, Sunday week.

Re: Thoroughbred Horse Racing [Merged]

Go Shamekha and Azzamoot. Good luck. I hope we can finish the season in a blaze of glory.
