Thoroughbred racing

Re: Thoroughbred Horse Racing [Merged]

Good luck Blood!

I don't have as much wisdom or experience as you, but hopefully a good dose of beginners luck.

My selections are:

Sydney R1 No 2 Do You Think to win, all up Sydney Race 2 No 1 Retrieve.

Hope we can get in the queue early.

Thanks Remote
Good Tiger support at the Ainslie last night.

Re: Thoroughbred Horse Racing [Merged]

You are much braver than me, eastlay and I wish you great success today. I'm not game to do "all-ups."

PRE PUNTER CLUB

Sorry I am late - had a staff member off sick so I had to work the shop this morning.

Got the bets on - and was real excited when Do You Think won - we had $25 riding on Retrieve - but alas it didn't run a drum

We have had a collect of $14 from Eclair Flyer (I got Top Fluctuation of $2.80) and we still have Backgammon running for us on IASSuperprice odds.

Cheers RT

Re: Thoroughbred Horse Racing [Merged]

Sorry I couldn't get the second leg home. Retrieve just didn't look like it backed up. When they slowed the pace up front it couldn't sprint with them at the finish. Maybe its training is focused on the Derby, but will need to run a vastly improved race.

Looks like experience wins the day. Well done Blood and thanks RT.

yeah tough race as always. Wouldnt want to have your last on it. Leysy's gunna spec Elite Falls who will get back & have the last crack off what is usually a hot pace.

Its an unusally good card for a NSW meet. Leysy likes a few at e/w odds -

Race 4 No 2 Pinker Pinker
Race 5 No 7 Linton
Race 6 No 3 Danleigh (bet of the day 11's un*smile*ing believable).
Race 8 No 3 Rainbow Styling

Might be best you stick to cricket betting LD.

Now I know you dont pick many losers [coz you tell us you don't] so what happened here? Don't tell me, if the jockey had of gone whip earlier it would have ...100%. Or if it hadn't got boxed in it would've won...100%.

You are the best comedic value on PRE old boy....100%

Why? He always has struggled to pick a winner in a '2 horse' race.

Sure it was on the low side of the ledger, but not a horrible return with Elite Falls $4 place dividend being a nice win.
Interesting to see your pre race tips next week JB...

& a tough crowd with the usual hangers on ready to jump in. Little wonder this thread doesnt have much pre-race discussion/tips these days.

Who we lumping on lads.

Amazed at the price difference between Woods & Mickelson.

Tiger gotta be some risk not playing much golf since his knee. Phil is a genius at Augusta who is always in the mix.

@ $11 Leysy's lumped on. Sure to get a good run fir his money.

Had a couple of side bets on Ogilvy @ $22 & the big Argey Cabrera @$200's.

Next weekend we're both on. ;D

& Who could forget that amazing 200/1 winner leysy threw out. Takes a lot of losing tips to give that back, 200 of them actually. Stuff of legends.

Cheers JB. Just the confidence boost leysy needed.

PRE Punters Club

Blood_17 slipped quietly into the lead with a collect of $14 from Eclair Flyer providing a profit of $4 for the Punters Club. And is this week's champion.

eastlavy got his 1st leg up of his double but alas Retrieve ran way below his best to finish behind the placegetters. Got us a bit excited there eastlavy for a moment I thought you were going to pull it off. Next time mate?

This week the champion - Blood_17 takes on the challenger - Son of Francis.

Son of Francis your maiden selection for the PRE Punters Club - good luck - you are up against a master of the track - Blood_17 - he picks wisely enjoys regular small dividends and always finishes amongst the leaders in the race for PRE Punter of the Year. Be clever and give him a run for his money..........

Navaho Trail is on the Road to Gundagai on Sunday in the last.
Third again, hitting the line hard. But Bernie likes to bet straight out even at 5s, however, the prize money softened the hit on the wallet as did backing the first four winners at Gundagai.

Step up to 1400m, off with the blinkers and down to Nowra on Sunday where he's unbeaten in two starts. Grant Buckley back on board to nurse till the straight.

No Apolosgies need T44 :)

My Father in law trains trotters and although one trials well she has a hard time come the race so the fickle nature is all part of the punt

I also enjoy following your girl and and am prone to tip a couple of dollars in for a bit of spice
Next time she'll go O.K

ROLLS, Let us know the progress of the mare, I like keeping tabs of the horses the guys on here hav

whats her name??

BTW bad luck with the multi ...... no-one saw the ess-doggies result comi

Good punting gents
She is called Morning Rain and Moody rated her as a late maturer. She is still small but showed plenty of ticker at her last start when was in heavy section if track and had been taken on for lead but battled on for second. Good ticker is half the battle with horses.
She is nominated for this Tuesday in Townsville.
