HappyTige, good to hear all is well. Just dropping a line in from New York, but didn't want you all to miss that my girl is going around at Sandown on Wednesday, Race 7 No 6 Fabulist. She is fit and well and we are expecting her usual honest run. There are a couple of good ones in the race but with a bit of luck should be thereabouts at the finish. Fingers crosed. Each Way chance.

Go Tigers

Tiger 44

Thanks for the tip T44.

Nice little collect there.

Re: Thoroughbred Horse Racing [Merged]

Thanks JB03 and Streak. Got $12.30 on IASBet.com so that combined with the A$ getting up over 95cents means happy days. More $ for Mrs Tiger 44 to spend at all those shops. Had to get up 2.45am New York time to listen but well worth it. She is very honest and has her share of ability. Probably short of Group class but should keep working through her classes.

ps NY is a great place to be (especially when Collingwood are in the GF)

Cheers

Tiger 44

ps Hope all is going well HappyTige :)

Re: Thoroughbred Horse Racing [Merged]

Woohoo I remembered to put a bet on this time. Still forgot to put the telly on and watch though. Well done T44 and Fabulist. :clap

As for D.O. I certainly hope the rumours doing the rounds are just Chinese whispers and that Ollie is back riding winners soon.

Because of their nature, possibly not. And whether true or not, that would be appropriate.

Is it anything to do with what was in Monday herald Sun re a sporting great, a woman and his wife supporting him.

Re: Thoroughbred Horse Racing [Merged]

PRE Punters Club

No Collects two weeks in a row

We have to stop the rot – on paper the selections look up to their ears in their respective races – but on the track they are not running up to form.

As this Saturday 25 September 2010 is Grand Final Day the champion and challenger -

Champion = Eastlavy
Challenger = Streak

can have their bets on either Mooney Valley Friday night meeting or Sunday's Caulfield meeting

Eastlavy & Streak – could you please post or PM me to show that you are ok to be the punters this weekend?

The rules are simple -

1) Each punting day (usually Saturday) there is a challenger and a champion
2) Both the challenger and the champion have $10 to bet - either win or place or eachway and/or allup.

E.G. Either –
$10 win horse A, or
$10 place horse A, or
$5 win horse A and $5 win horse B, or
$5 win horse A and $5 place horse B, or
$5 place horse A and $5 place horse B, or
$5 eachway horse A, or
For those who wish to dare it is OK to have
$5 win horse A allup a win horse B, and $5 place horse A allup a place horse B, or
$5 win horse A and $5 place horse A allup a place horse B

3) If you collect more than the $10 outlay and more than your opponent on the day you become the champion next week.

4) Selections can be at any Saturday metropolitan meeting in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane or Adelaide. (On weekends where there are Group races on the Monday or Sunday as well as or instead of the Saturday racing the PRE Punter(s) in the chair can forgo the Saturday racing and bet on the Monday or Sunday). Please post your selections on the thoroughbred thread by 11.00am on the day of the races so it gives me time to find them and put them on.

5) All profits on your bet (no matter how small) will be posted to Rosy's bank account to help with the admin costs of PRE

6) All bets are put on Remote Tigers Darwin Bookie IASbet.com hence there is no outlay by other members of the Punting Club.

7) A total of collects for each member will be maintained by Remote Tiger and the member with the largest total of collects by the last day of the Melbourne Spring Racing Carnival will be announced the PRE Punter of the year, 2010.

The list order of punters is

1. Bernie
2. Azzamoot - return $67.40 Club House Leader
3. B1
4. Tony Braxton-Hicks
5. Hartbalme
6. Blood_17 – Return $12.50

RT

Hope I'm up to the rot stopping challenge. I've had a quick look at the form already as I'm going to be away from tonight for a week. I'm going to steer around the hotpots (More Joyous, Hay List, Herculian Prince, Spacecraft) on the weekend looking for more value.

I think Servant in the Stutt Stakes looks good value. Had a couple of runs back from a freshen up. Moody the trainer, Nolan hops on board, the trip hopefully suits. Friday night Melbourne Race 7 No 5 $10 to win.

Re: Thoroughbred Horse Racing [Merged]

l'm hearing Oliver is likely to be charged & the reasons to be made public pretty soon.

Re: Thoroughbred Horse Racing [Merged]

Try as I might I haven't been able to sniff the rumours out.

Ouch.

Biggest story in the countries history if he is guilty of what leysy has heard.

Re: Thoroughbred Horse Racing [Merged]

had to search far and wide to find the rumour (which is shocking) but will give him the benfit of the doubt until charges are laid and proven guilty.

Terrible rumour if true.

Think that statement may be a bit OTT.

Eastlavy's selection bet is on. Servant $10 on the nose. Plus I put $10 a place on it to have allup a place on what Streak picks later in the weekend.
