Re: Thoroughbred Horse Racing [Merged]
Some mates and I have bred a falvelon two year old which is due to debut new years eve at ipswich.
won his unofficial hitout over 900m by four lengths against maidens and other two year olds.
his debut is (Copacetic is his name by the way, fans of James Lee Burke novels with get it) over 800m and he has great early speed (like most falvelons) so should be a big show. It is QTIS 600 race which we paid up for even though he did not go through sales so with the bonus its is $16500 for first. Not bad for a ipswich midweek.
Bet sensibly guys as our syndicate is not the luckiest in theworld.
Two of our horses never made it to the track, another won its first two starts then died of colic on race day for a $50,000 event he was favourite for and the mother of copacetic was a three start maiden who refused to race even though she blistered on the training track. Her breeding was magnificent hence our decision to breed from her.
