Sometimes a player is so bad, they simply can’t be played the following week - Ryan was one, Dow was two, Banks was three and Koschitzke was four today.I do agree. This is a make or break year for a few of these guys, but writing him off after one game is not helping any.

We all want every player to succeed and hopefully become superstars. It gives me no pleasure to share what I see first hand.TBH, I think I'd rest him from next week. The Blues midfield is just as hard to play against as GC.
Give him a few weeks in the twos, then give him a run of 5 games or so to see where we are at.
I get it that he was poor today.
At least 15 of our players looked sub standard. Probably even more .We all want every player to succeed and hopefully become superstars. It gives me no pleasure to share what I see first hand.
Made the trip up to see us in action & bitterly disappointed with lack of effort in the first half.
The reality also was a few players like Dow just looked sub standard across the whole day. Hard to fathom given his pre-season. But he was so poor, and so far behind what Anderson & Rowell offered the GC, I just can’t see any AFL future for him. Sorry to say that, but no amount of games will change that.
It's crystal clear where we're at, but we probably have no choice but to play the kids for a few years anyway. We are rebuilding, players like Dow need the exposure to senior football so we can decide who stays and who goes.
For me, he stays in for maybe another 5 weeks, if it doesn't click he goes back to the VFL and if he tears it up there he gets another chance.
Play the young-uns and let's see what we have so we go into the draft with full knowledge of where we are.

Yeah I'm not saying it's right, but that's why I asked the question. I started to watch the game, and was pissed off in the first 5 minutes so I turned it off. Being hot and tired is not a good time for me to watch a capitulation, I'm getting too old and grumpy.Thats wrong, I saw it with my own eyes that he was in at centre bounces. It was tough having to watch replays of goals of him just trailing behind Rowell or Anderson.
Dow had quite a few mates but after playing 18 games and 5th year on our list it’s not good enoughbummer after the good practice games... he wasn't alone in ball-watching though was he?
5 weeks to long.We are rebuilding, players like Dow need the exposure to senior football so we can decide who stays and who goes.
