The RIP thread

I must be the only person in the world who wouldn't know a Prince song if I fell over it.

Great performance from Bruce.

That's good. Might buy it if they put the concert audio up as a .flac on the Springsteen site.

Bruce is only sort of semi-competent with a guitar though, Prince could've been lead for any band in the world.

I think Bruce knows that hence why he surrounds himself with other far better guitarists.

Yeah, he only really does cameos. Backstreets shows his ability in the best light.

Better Purple Rain footage.

Was reading a magazine from late March and saw Keith Emerson died. Great keyboard player from Emerson, Lake and Palmer in the 70s. Fanfare for the common man, Lucky Man, Karn Evil, Pictures at the Exhibition etc.

One of the great keyboard players in an era when a lot of bands used them. ELP's music was not everyone's taste but I was a fan.

Overlooked, but Reg Grundy, TV game show pioneer, and rhyming slang for underpants died this week.

Amazing how this got small news. This bloke produced a lot of famous Aussie TV shows. RIP Reg.

You know you've done well when your name becomes part of the vernacular.
