Hardwick had a three hour interview monday night.

He spent the 1st 2 hours trying to convince the RFC that having a game plan does make a difference

I hope it was an 'in your face' interview which saw light bulbs above the commitee's heads click on.

"Ahhhh so that's how you do it !!"

Jade Rawlings.....whats the go?

So is Jade cutting the mustard? Whats his rapport with the players? Is there any danger of him getting the gig next year? I am getting a bit worried about where the club is headed......and the little bit Ive seen of the tigers under Jade doesnt allay my fears. We got flogged on Sunday and the team has been playing 1 or 2 quarters of footy instead of a sustained 4 quarter performance.
And i know lots have been said on drafting and priority picks and all that stuff.
My opinion?
Its not the cattle....its what you do with them that counts...
Sorry....lots of other threads have probably done this to death but honestly....buggered if I know where the club is at.....Im sad..... :'(

No one wants the North job. Why would you when they're trying to sell home games to Perth. Not a good omen for a prospective coach.
Have they talked to Tommy H? He would do it for $100 a week and all the tea he can drink and a new T-shirt every month.

While I'm not really a fan of Jade's I really do feel for him at the moment. Suppose it's the job he took but.........

Coaching staff not even bothering to go thru the motions - Royal and King.
Other coaches off balance - Campbell protecting his place for next year and McCrae covering for his development work while balancing Coburg and a job next year.
Senior players retiring and probably trying to get a post-playing career.
The CEO retiring due to ill health and replaced by the former head of the players union.
Medical and Fitness staff defending their actions against opinions they have failed and may be replaced.
A list overhaul and possibly team selection monitored by the President.

Would seem to be more people working against you than with you.

I have a feeling you might find Jade 'I've tried my god damned hardest' Rawlings to be amongst this train derailment as well.

north coach?

Just got the Hun and according to Sheehan ( dont always believe what he says or writes) that North will in days appoint Damien Hardwick as coach.

They want to beat the Tigers and not be seen as being rejected by a third person.

I have a bad feeling over all this. I just hope this doesnt turn out to be another Geisch situation. No dissrespect to Jade , but he is 31 and in my opinion we need someone will experience, been an assistance for many years, successful player himself, premiership player , someone who knows what it takes.

Maybe Sheehan is just pissed off with Benny over not telling him if the Tigers had offered him the CEO job.

If thats true that leaves 3 plus Laidley. I dont want a teacher i want a hard nosed coach who will rock the place and set disciplines and work ethic to this group. To me that may leave Dean as the logical choice.

How do others feel ?

The club have put thbemselves in a tough position with their process statements.

Does not allow them flexability to make snap decision and IMO that is a good thing.

If Hardwick is ready to jump at any job then maybe he is not the man we are after.

Happy for them to complete the process and decide on the best man (or best remaining) man for the job.

I myself, from the outide and with little knowledge of the interiuor workings of each, would be happy if Richardson landed the job with Laidley, or someone strict and strong in the director of coaching role.

You cant believe everything sheehan writes, this may or may not be true.

Regardless, I think richmond should let Damien know that we will fast forward the interviews with the others and the club will be making an appointment by the end of next week.

If Damien cant wait till that time then he shows he only wants north job then fine let him go.

Keep the process, just speed it up !!!
