Posting. But also part of Dustbag's genius is he knew when to do it himself also. Knew when he was the only one to get it done, and duly accommodated.one of my cherished memories of Dusty that taps into the point from Tenacious was his unselfish play
either to dish off goals
but to deliberately pick out unfashionable or new players like Pickett in the GF
in 2017 it was huge and reckon it was a big part of building a great team , it brought the best out of other players
who may have otherwise lacked confidence
he was picking out Lloyd, Castagna , Butler etc instead of just going to Jack or having a shot himself
another piece of quite leadership , I have forgotten the exact game , either 2019 prelim or 2020 GF , 3/4 huddle
Dusty weaving thru the huddle , making eye contact with each player and gave a nod or a tap , no obvious talking
no arm waving , all very discreet and reckon he got all players
just for a moment imagine if Dusty comes direct to you , makes eye direct contact and a " we've got this " or "you with me"
your chest would explode , you'd walk bare foot over hot coals to do something for the team
sometimes less is more , especially when it comes to talking
All 7 played for Richmond only.At least 2 of them played in every premiership win we have had since 1967.

And 4 champions who played in this dynasty. How lucky we all were to have them at their peak for those premierships. We must of been in the area at the same time.

Great speech by Jack on AFL360 stating that after 37 years, all generations finally enjoyed success again, and especially 3 flags!!And 4 champions who played in this dynasty. How lucky we all were to have them at their peak for those premierships.
Gee they’ve given us a lot of joy over those years, surely made up for the dim year early on in their careers.
and how many premierships between them...24?All 7 played for Richmond only.
Gary Rohan and Lewis Jetta.Just heard the Swans offered pick 6 & 14 for our pick 3 in 2009 draft. Well done Francis Jackson with the no deal.
Did we know this?
That’s who the Swans picked. There was also Nat Fyfe (20) and Max Gawn (34) still on the table.Gary Rohan and Lewis Jetta.
No thanks.
Genuinely insightful words from Edwards. He should be in the media:Wow - just brilliant- who needs an interview
‘In 2017, I just thought he was God’: Tiger legends welcome Martin to the 300 club
Richmond had persuaded all five living 300-gamers to assemble ahead of Dusty’s upcoming milestone against the Hawks. Some of the most revered of all have been left awestruck by the triple-Norm Smith medallist.www.theage.com.au

And responsible for us winning 8 out of our last 10 grand finals. At least 2 of them played in every premiership win we have had since 1967.
I'd love to see Shedda in the media. He is articulate, quick witted and very funny. A natural.Genuinely insightful words from Edwards. He should be in the media:
“I’ve probably never seen someone so agile at his weight before, he’s got an amazing low centre of gravity for his height as well. And he has much better endurance than people probably give him credit for.
“So he’s the whole package, but his brain is probably his biggest asset. He’s probably the smartest player I’ve ever played with ... he sees the game on another level and every touch he gets he’s trying to get the team a goal. There’s no padding to what he does. Everything is high damage, and he gets a lot of it in almost any situation in the front half.”
Edwards, notably, spoke of Martin in the present tense – what he is – and went so far as to call Dusty Richmond’s safety blanket and a source of reassurance for the team. “There was some element to hanging in there as a team, making the game as even as possible knowing we’ve got this guy in our front half that can take us over the line and lifts in the biggest moments. He’s somewhat of a safety blanket, and he relieved a lot of anxiety for us other players.”
I would certainly expect so.Will Dimma be allowed in the rooms after the game??
