Tambling (merged)

Re: Tambling [Merged]

Graham was more skillfull and better in close than RT Friday night. GC or GWS, have we got a player with potential for you.

To be frank I’m more worried about Bling than I ever have been before.

Mee too!

Short memories. Tambling was playing back at the start of the season and got well beaten a few times.

Agreed, but there are so many round-in-circle conversations on here that you should not be surprised. People forget when he got smashed at the start of the season...

Having paid well above the odds for Richie (draft pick 4 in a very strong draft), I would hope for something decent in return. Not sure we will get much based on his performances.

We have a tackle specialist that not many teams have.

What did your lot get for Mitch Thorp again? :headscratch

He might give some run but the defensive side is a massive question mark.

I will stand corrected, I thought all but 1 game he has been of half forward

Re: Tambling [Merged]

Me too. I also haven't seen him following the play as much as he seemed to from that spot last year.

Fitness issues early.

He's our back pocket for mine.
Seems to be getting some run back, so lets see how he goes in the 2nd half of the year.

Re: Tambling [Merged]

the thing with Bling ;D that has stuck with me the was him stating in an interview that he really liked playing attacking footy through midfield and forward. usually players roll out the "wherever I'm needed" line when it comes to commenting on preferred positions. this could lead to him doing whats needed as a defender but not necessarily being at his absolute best.

Re: Tambling [Merged]

Had his best half for the year coming from the backline on Friday night.

Looked a different footballer running towards the ball and being able to see the play ahead of him.

The one issue I have had with Dimma is not having Tambling coming off the back flank all year.

fair enough and if he wants to be part of our club he'll have to let go of his desire to be in the front half. I'm sure Lids has had to do the same after looking a monty as a midfielder/forward. I just wouldn't write Richie off as a potential front half weapon just yet (even though he looks better behind the ball at this stage).

Re: Tambling [Merged]

He has a very bright future as a back pocket player with a huge proviso. Bling is pretty much mentally on Talfamador from the moment he walks on the park. I'm talking sex romps in outer space.

You reckon J was a stoner? This is planet acid. Are they dragons around the ball? Or the pie-stand? (Ignore the pie-stand, Richard. Focus on the ball between the dragons.)

Anyways Richard needs some serious mentoring. Let's hope Beavis can help him out. (Is Hardwick Beavis or Butthead? I can never remember.)
