Tambling (merged)

so many parts of his game are coming together slowly but steadily. i still think he two years away from breaking out and being an A+ midfielder.

he will get there eventually (i even think he'll have an out of form patch before he comes real good maybe this year maybe next).

put franklin in the guts and tell him to get his own pill HAHAHAHA!!! go tambo!!!

Solid without being great. The gap between his best and worst is closing.

Constant improvement.

A career high in disposals and tackles for the young man. Tambling is playing sensational footy at the moment, keep it up mate!

I though he was terrific yesterday.
His disposal anbd decision making is improving dramatically.
He still makes some mistakes but he's backing himself and I love it.
The 6 tackles is also a real credit too him some of our other youngsters should take note.
Tambling is becoming a two way footballer who's quite happy to get his knees dirty and is really blossoming atm.

My biggest concerns with Tambling since he joined us have been his lack of defensive pressure, soft tackling, and his lack of pace/agility.

Over the past 2-3 games, he's improved his pressure and tackling markedly, and he's getting hands to a lot of contested ball, which is great to see. He's been more in-and-under than I thought he ever could be.

I've still got question marks over his pace/agility compared with other aboriginal players, but overall, he's improved well so far this season. Will be hoping he can continue improving or at least keep this level of effort up.

i must pay penance where due , RT is slowing improving week by week , at this rate i might just have to hunt out the royal doulton cuttlery and pre order the " humble" pie from the local bakery .... hope he keeps this up

Blings had a solid start to the year, good on him. Also, hes starting to win more ball that his direct opponent, so he's disciplined going the other way, unlike years gone by. I doubted him being an inside-mid, buts hes proved me wrong big time.

When Foley emerged one of the things that set him apart was his ability to run into a pack and run out the other side with the ball. We haven't had anybody who could consistently do this in decades.

Then King started doing it.

And now Bling.

A great example of his 2nd efforts now was in the Freo game. He took a mark outside defensive 50, played on and kicked to a teammate (can't quite remember who - Jack or Mitch I think) on the wing/HFF. They were spoilt but Tambling had followed up and burst through at 100 miles an hour, picked up the crumbs in one go and then speared a pass to Polak on the forward 50m. It was a great bit of play. :clap

Matt White's capable too JD.
I loved the way he broke tackles and accelerated away from the pack yesterday.
A little more polish and..

Where'd he come from? Nobody saw that coming. He improved again on the weekend IMO. Big strides here.

And now White, (edit) sorry, just noticed the post above me.

The signs from Tambling this year have been promising.

You can see the player he will be in different bits and pieces of play.

When he pulls it all together into a 4 quarter performance I would hate to be in the opposing side.
