Hit petiffer on the chest three times inside 50m.

The half assed efforts have disappeared since his demotion.
Whatever Wallace said to him appears to have worked and he's on the up.

Totally agree, has had a very good last month, keep it up for 2008.

LMAO, I've watched this thread hammer tambo from zero to hero.

Love em when theyre up but kick em in the guts when theyre down even if they're just kids

Would hate to read this thread next week if he has an average day at the office, what a joke ::)
have never bagged tambling im happy to say. would still prefer buddy though or in an ideal world both.
Just maybe there carrers may go in different directions ;)

;)

But even if Buddy doesn't implode I'd be okay if he was our Luke Hodge to Judd.

Well done GPB. :)

Richie still has plenty to prove but has the tools to be the gun he was touted to be and as long as he's improving he'll make us all very happy soon enough.

PS:
Edwards and Tambling have put the final nail is Krak's coffin.
They are showing him how it's done. 8)

How good was Shane's roving goal today? :D

Very happy with Blings efforts today, added a lot and finished the season with a string of decent games.

Has been getting in and under in recent weeks, but today had the confidence to take on opponents and use his speed and/or dexterity to advantage. The two things we have been crying to see from him.

Look forward to getting a good pre-season into him, and seeing him again in 2008

again a huge critic and will till he realises use all your assets son.....he did impress me today...then again the 10th beer and the sun....i was looking thru rose coloured glasses.....

How up he will go remains to be seen.Better signs in recent weeks.

I still think he's been affected by the soft Krakouer influence .

Tambling finished the season well. After hitting rock bottom mid season and a trip back to Harding St, Richie set himself personal challenges and can now can place a tick in some boxes.
He should continue to set himself those same personal challenges in the first half of next year. With more improvement and consistency, the next real challenge will come from the opposition.

Was very good again today and seems to be really on the improve. As I watched, I couldn't help but think we've really found a quality player. Big pre-season and then watch out in 2008.

I thought Nick Daffy had run onto the ground.

Here's hoping that, unlike Daffy, Shane has more than one good season!

Was happy with Tambling's last month. He seems a genuine onballer who can drift forward. Almost seemed to be plkayhing CHF at one stage today. Good on him. I think he'll develop further into a very good player. Hopefully Daniel Kerr mk2.

Rich is really having a good month. I noticed a little thing today: that when he receives a handball, he is able to turn to run in the right direction quickly enough to not get caught. Other Tigers receive the ball then pass it back/ run in the direction it came from.

agree...that really impressed me today....his passing by foot was great today...clearly he's put work into it....and just trusting his own ability a bit more.....good stuff....
when he takes them on....he's electric....very evasive..and starting to get better awareness too..in the past..when he's sidestepped his opponent...often gets caught or pressured by another opponent......

also great on the lead...impressed with his marking......will become a great weapon....

Good signs. Really good signs.

Anytime a footballer finished the year strong it is a good sign. Most young guys fade dramatically over the end of their first three seasons, for Richie to ramp up it bodes well. Like I have said all the year the needle is moving in the right direction. He looks remarkably fresh and has plenty of spring in his step. Another big summer and 2008 will show Tambling making a bigger improvement from one year to the next then any of his previous three.

Geez I wouldnt have ever called Krakouer soft, too slow and a poor engine is about the extent of it.

Agree scoop! Not just Tambo either. We have some really exciting times ahead! :clap

I thought Tambling did alright today, I would not however say he was good. I watched him all day running around. There were far to many times when a player just waltzed past him through the center. The guy sitting next to me supported Hawthorn and just came to the game for something to do. He had his eye on Tambling as well. He noted three really poor attempts in the first half. He said he would have dragged Tambling for the rest of the game simply because we wouldn't chase. My fav of the day was when St Kilda took it out of our backline, the one player (tall and cumbersome) bounce through the back flank and then through the centre, the whole time with opponent 5-6 meters behind. Tambling was the OBVIOUS player to run him down in the center, I mean he was only 2 or 3 meters away. Instead Tambling stood there like a council worker holding a sign in a construction zone. Pathetic, disinterested, ZERO attempt, the Tambling we've all come to love.

Sorry, but I did not see what you guys saw yesterday or the week before. Against WC he was Excellent but for the past two weeks he has been standing back again not willing to chase down those slower than himself. He doesn't like putting the body in, he is a receiver of the 1st degree (unless of course it is his clanger-one was on display yesterday) only then does he show real vigor.

I have seen him play 1 game and 1 quarter of footy for the whole season. Not a good enough return to deserve his spot in the team.

Well, geez, if a Hawthorn supporter mate of yours reckons he should have been dragged then he must be right. I mean, Hawthorn fans are just so wise and enlightened and everything.

Bit of an exaggeration surely.
He's definitely played a lot more good footy than that - is on the overall improve - deserves his spot - and will be even better next year.
