Talking Politics

Absolutely *smile* not. Labour here are a *smile* show - even the left are turning on them. Support for Starmer has fallen through the floor in just three months.
People are turning on all governments, that’s the point

By all accounts Trump has said the war hawks Pompeo and Haley won't be part of his administration. Good news if that's the case.

According to the Polls Julia Gillard was that unpopular that the ALP faced a massive loss, so Kevin was brought back to minimise the damage.
Suppose it just goes to show what the political parties think of the voting public by shoving that prick down our throats a second time round. It's not what the party can do for the punters, it's what *smile* the party thinks the punter's stupid enough to cop n keep them in power, pay n perks.

I always find it amazing when an election result comes in those who support the party or person who wins somehow take it as some sort of personal vindication or triumph.
And those that don’t support the party or person start throwing insults, tell lies and innuendo.
I couldn’t care less which party rules the US but I have always been of the view that Trump should not be President for a variety of reasons. To me he is scum, a truly horrible human being.
If all the skeletons on other politicians came to light, I’m sure there would be plenty to keep him company
The fact that he won the US presidential election doesn’t mean I am wrong, all that it means is that a little bit more than 50% of adult Americans who voted decided he should be President.
And winning the popular vote is no guarantee you’ll win the presidency.
A few months ago the Brits chucked out the Tories on their arse, maybe they are right and the yanks are wrong?
Or it’s a reminder to governments to govern for the people, don’t just believe in your own hubris.

House results 218 needed for a majority
Republicans 216
Democrats 209
Counting continues in the last 10.
Democrats lead in 4, Republicans lead in 6. Some too tight or too early to call.
GOP Probables..Calvert, Steel, Begich

Lies. Their is really only one real king. But I imagine his supporters will not bother taking the time to read any of nthis as it does not really matter to them.

I wonder who gets the job of telling Don that China doesn't pay his tarrifs, American companies do? Even Vance got sucked in by Don.

In many ways, the election win is probably the best thing that happened. Trump now has a mandate for his policies and will have little to stop him implementing them. The American people can now get the complete Trump experience.

Instead of wasting time "fact checking" every little thing Trump says the Dems and their lap dogs should focus on engaging the people with policies that matter. Whether the Maccas crowd was 28k or 5k does it matter? They don't even realise that Trump is trolling them.

You are probably right. Facts clearly dont matter to anyone willing to vote for Trump, or racism, sexism, women's rights, violence against the government after an election, or violence against the police. or decent health care.

they might need some help tho finding polices on things that Trump supporters actually do care about.

It’s definitely enabled some folks. I have some very right leaning work colleagues who are quite emboldened.

Trump has definitely tapped into the male market who feel (rightly or wrongly) they are being discriminated against in terms of opportunity.

I’ve seen over a decade of structural positive discrimination towards female promotion opportunities where I’ve worked. It’s pretty blatant.

At the end of the day though for the most senior people It comes down to who does the caring if you have kids. Both the women and men at the top from what I’ve seen almost completely ignore their families when rising the ranks.

This is the sort of thinking that Trump relies on.

Would have thought it was scarcely believable that the truth would become so irrelevant to so many people.

You reckon crowd size is one of the key issues many have with Trump?

I thought it must be a parody account but it is really him. And he's a senator???

And another Tate fan.

He posts a tribute to the ANZACS and then that tripe?

Makes me sad that there are people like this with so much hate. And he lives in south-east Melb.
Not using those terms he quotes has nothing to do with being woke (whatever woke is). It is about human decency and respect for others.
He is also linking to a post by a person currently under arrest for human trafficking.

And to add to that , if not saying *smile* like that is being woke then give me woke every day of the week. FFS.

Yes, I posted a few days ago that incumbent governments are getting kicked to the kerb in post COVID elections. There wasn't much they could do about supply shortages and the resulting high inflation.

Nah, this is what the "anti-woke" champions are campaigning for. The right to be a *smile*.

I would love to see Babet go to Alice Springs and walk around talking about "niggas" with his kids. Or visit a family of a child with an intellectual disability and talk about their retard child. Or perhaps he can visit the family of a victim of a cold who committed suicide due to homophobic bullying and he can ask about their faggot child.
