Still giving us nothing...'cept Cups and Medals

To be fair, it's becoming more common to hear the media state "Richmond are the best team this year" without any qualifiers. I think we've crossed the point where people doubt us, unless it's for an agenda, to generate media columns, or Blight.
Blight has predicted us to finish 2nd

They'll give us plenty this week..

:hihi They certainly will.

It's all good though. We just need to win enough games to finish top 2. Then it's game on.

We want to be peaking coming into September, not now.

Actually, haven't been on us that hard at all. For the most part they are all lauding WCE and talking more about them, but in the same breath saying we are still flag favorites.

Everyone knows. Everyone saw them crawl over the line against Carlton 4 weeks ago.
They didn't even kick 100 points against them.
The G scares them, it's windy, it's wet, it's noisy,

Check out the article on AFL about our concerning form....

We have only beaten sides from last years bottom 10....

But this year Melbourne are 3rd, the Roos 7th and the Hawks and Pies are 9th and 10th and only out on percentage.... :spin

Damn lying stats. Our most important period is going to be Round 12 to 17 (with a bye in there) against Port (in Adelaide), Cats, Swans, Crows, Giants. Giants down atm but I'm sure by Round 17 they'll have a lot of their good injured players back. That period will dictate our top 2 chances.

Sydney should've been at the G, they play Etihad better then the SCG
If can't beat Geelong and Adelaide at the G. We don't deserve to finish in the top 4

Exactly Wayno, I just put the following response to this article on twitter, "Based on this seasons form I would consider Melbourne and North Melbourne, who we beat, in much better form than 2 finalists from last year - Essendon and Geelong. You need to put more weight in current form than last years."

They obviously don't have any "shock jocks" on that station Ian. :hihi

On Twitter Ricky Nixon says that Perth’s new ground is he same size as the MCG. I remember seeing the dimensions of all the grounds in a thread but for the life of me I cannot find it.

Can someone point me to that?

I questioned if he meant like Ethihad but he reckons it is MCG!

TIA

MCG = 160m long by 141 wide
Etihad = 159.5 by 128.8
Simmonds = 170 by 115
SCG = 149 x 136
ANZ = 160 x 118
Spotless = 164 x 123
Adelaide Oval = 167 x 124
Subi = 175.6 x 122.4
Optus Stadium = 165 x 130
Gabba = 156 x 138
Metricon = 160 x 134
Manuka = 162.5 x 138.4
Aurora = 165 x 135
Blundstone = 175 x 133.5

Optus 5 m longer but narrower by 11m compared to the G definitely closer to Etihad. I thought it was supposed to be wider than that. The closest to the G are The Gabba, Metricon, Manuka and Aurora. We don't play Aurora ever as we always play the Hawks at the G but have pretty good records at the gabba and metricon in particular.

I can understand Simmonds as it's 13 metres narrow on each wing and ANZ and maybe Subi/SPotless but would 5 metres each wing (Optus) really make that much difference? I just stepped it out and it doesn't seem like a lot extra to me.
