Steve Morris F/S

Playing in the back half demands you to be a good disposer of the ball. He just doesn't have it.

He may make it as a tagger if anything but I would rather another quality mid and have other sides worrying about who to tag in our side.

Send the butcher back to South Adelaide.

funny you mention "butcher" Zippadeee - because he reminds me of a chook with its head cut off... a gutsy one...

Time to send Stevie in for his shoulder to be fixed. Is in pain every week and it's just not worth it at the moment.
Yeh not against that, takes a bloody long time to get a shoulder back, especially if he does need a reco....also great chance for Dea to have another go at the same role

totally agree with this. Hardwick can save face by not dropping Morris but putting him on the LTIL. We all know it won't happen though.
Regardless of what happens to Morris, Dea must come in anyway.

Good move by Hardwick to play Morris in the forward line yesterday. He played Kingy's role which we have been missing all year. Given his poor form in defence could this be the "new" Stevie Morris? With Dea settling into defence nicely yesterday SM may have to reinvent himself if he wants to keep his place in the team.
BTW it was funny when someone in the crowd yelled "go back to the back line Morris" which could be heard on the TV telecast when he missed that goal. I'm glad Hardwick wasn't listening to that supporter.

I also liked him forward. Heath Shaw didn't though :hihi

Eh, won't work.

You have to kick goals as a defensive forward still. He doesn't have the skill set to do this. Heath Shaw has also been noted to go totally missing with a little bit of attention. We need genuine forwards given our inability to score this season.

Damn, and I thought Dimma had done something that worked.

Easy to have said the same about King when he put him there and yet last year when we were going well I think few would have said it was a bad move, AND King learnt to kick goals.

McDonough would be perfect.

OHanlon HBF until Vlaustin gets back.

Drop Morris.

If he isn't a defender, then he needs to be delisted plain & simple.
Hasn't got the smarts to be a forward. Overall a *smile* skilled footballer

Like I said, the same could have been said about King when he was first moved forward. Moving Morris to the forward line was out of left field, it worked on the day and I am sure it will be tried again. If it fails, I will happily acknowledge it on here and if it succeeds I hope you will do likewise.

Can't we just bask in the sunshine of a good win and some positive sentiments, just for one week?

No. The Geelong Falcons would pump GWS.
