Steve Morris F/S

I'm not a huge Mozza fan. But he usually starts the season slowly. Works hard. May have lost a yard.

FFS the bloke had a Stella year last year, was talked by many of the paid experts as AA BP, gos as hard as any an has a poor one and we are writing him off as a dud, well golly golly gosh

He is definately carrying a shoulder and perhaps a season ending shoulder. He is a warrior.

His initial comment on ABC Radio after the game was hilarious.

"How was the game Steve?"
deep sigh "....oh gawd..."

Tells it like it was.

Didn't hear that - but what a pearler of a response!

He's tough, tries hard and gives his all but he honestly has no idea. Poor kick and makes too many errors. I don't trust him.

Is there anyone out there that's as tough, determined with better skills? I dunno. Madonna maybe. I like the ball in his hands.

He spends to much time diving and jumping when he really doesn't need to do it.
His handball in the 1st qtr when he was on his guts was useless.
He is coughing up too many goals

Every team needs a tough pack pocket, but as we know they also need to offer a bit offensively - Morris wouldn't have had over 7 odd touches in both games so far. Also, to be honest, I don't think he is actually that good one-on-one or playing a complete shut down role - could be due to his shoulder, but not entirely sure.

I don't get it. He is carrying a shoulder injury? Did you see the body to body hit on Kernot which got us a turnover and goal? Unbelievably good stuff and not what you'd expect at all of someone carrying a major structural injury as it were.

He runs on to the G he is 100 percent fit no excuses

Morris is too predictable. Other teams have worked him out in that he will always go the ball kamikaze style which often means he forgets about his opponent. In 50,50 situations if he doesn't end up with the ball, his opponent gets it in space.

2 average games now, he needs to lift but also needs to play smarter.

Like most PREnders, the courage and desperation of Morris are not in question.
I do, however, at times question the quality of his decision-making. Sometimes I think if he backed-off on some of the enthusiasm and endeavour he overtly displays that he might become a more consistent contributor and less prone to some of those costly brain fades.
Maybe I am talking through my hat??

The scoop is a shoulder, Brett. I'll watch more closely next week.

Can't spoil overhead marks so hits the body and gives away a free. Same for much of 2013 ??

Been a find since he's got here, but a slow start to his season following a disappointing elimination final. His spot is probably relatively secure, due to our lack of small defenders.
