Steve Morris F/S

Seems to be having major problems with his shoulder. Caused him grief in the Coll/Ess praccies, and looked to be in a lot of pain last night. For a guy that uses his body like he does, this does not bode well.

Why wouldn't they give him time to get his shoulders right?
He was in discomfort from the start of the game.

The Club needs to manage Morris carefully, particularly if he is experiencing troublesome shoulders.
If he continues to play in the style we have all become accustomed to witnessing from him there is a strong chance he may shorten his career.
And while I do really like his endeavour I would like to see him become a little more focused and directed so that he expends his energy in the right ways/areas.

His manager did well to get 3 years that's all ill say.

Think there will be some pressure coming on him to keep his spot if he serves up what he has done in rounds 1 and 2.

Yes, although we don't really have an abundance of small defenders.

He is not defending though Streak. Getting cut up. Would play Madonna or even Batch and take the risk.

Always gets his pants pulled down against Carlton.
Along with a few others.

I don't disagree Western, I just don't really see an alternative.

Why Madonna? Thought he was a forward?

Batch maybe.

Anyone recall a hard but back pocket that kept losing his man in traffic, with no kicking penetration
? Only a move to the forward line saved Jakes career.

in bad form.

a keeper for now. see how he goes on a hard track against the Dogs.

Morris has a flaw in his game that he should eradicate. To aggressive towards a man in a contest. With his ability he should focus on reading & winning the ball before his opponent does. Plenty of backmen with his ability over the years did not resort to such tactics...Bluey McKenna prime example. A few have run around the paddock at the Cattery of late.
