Steve Morris F/S

I've said it before and I'll say it again, when his old man left we lost something. When we recruited Stevie I knew our luck would change. I know it's bull but humour me, I feel he is a good luck charm after persecution and just crap luck at times over the last 30+ years.

No need to guess who that might be.
Morris will roll him.
Poor little fella won't get much sleep this week. Morris' aerial work is very assured. Has that improved or have I only noticed it recently?

much improved from the start of last year. it was a weakness then. no longer.

Has clearly been playing witha little more composure which is fantastic.
Save the "bull in a china shop" / "kamikaze" stuff for the critical times when it is the only option to save a goal.
Now... how do we get Rance to follow suit.

Morris is another example of Richmond at long last thinking outside the box and looking to get the best recruits from outside the normal drafting option. Recruiting is another thing that has improved out of sight for us since Hardwick came on board. I love watching Morris play and know that we're not going to cut up by another small forward.

never loses a 1:1 contest, just like pushup in that regard. Thrives on the contest

and to think we virtually got him for free, thank you GWS, we owe you one.

I’ve seen Devon Smith play a fair bit (the GWS kid we likely would have taken if we hadn’t swapped picks) and he’s exactly the kind of goal kicking midfielder/HFF we need.

I think we did the right thing to trade because we really needed a shutdown small defender, but it’s a near run thing.

GWS will need to cull their list down at some point, maybe next year? I wonder who will stay and who will go. Certainly our recruiters are looking closely at those lads. Love to snag another goodun.

Yes, but we got Morris & Ellis for Devon Smith in this scenario. Massive win for us from my POV.

Yep, Ellis + Morris is better than Smith, but I’m just saying that the trade did have a cost.

To be perfectly honest I would trade Devon Smith for Ellis straight up.

Should get off, didn't leave the ground, was hardly moving, no raised arms and Elliot's head hit him in the middle of his back. A good shepherd that Elliot saw coming and made a mess of.
