Steve Morris F/S

Players will be consistentley looking over their shoulder's with bloke's like Morris running around.

Players walk taller with bloke's like Morris around.

I love his agression but for a small/medium defender goes to ground way too easily for mine.
Makes some ridiculous smothering attempts and too many dives.

Had an ordinary pre season thus far and can see Betts pantsing him round one.

Has to learn to keep his feet and make better use of his pace. Far too often he goes to ground or is out of sync with the play and hence caught left in his opponents wake. Despite this he is easily a Round 1 starter as he has so many other good traits.

kicking is a real worry. what else does he have in the kit bag, especially now the rules prevent him from being a kamikaze kid.

His mis kick to Cotchin in the last was huge mistake. His kicking is very hit and miss.
Besides that he did ok on betts.

Morris did very well against a talented and experienced opponent.

Was fantastic, surprised there hasn't been much talk of him really. With the new sliding rule I was a bit worried going into last night as he used to do that quite a bit, but to his credit he played really well on Betts, who only got goals through no fault of Morris. Just love his attack on the footy and the man as well, hopefully he can do a number on Milney next week who traditionally gives us a bit of a pasting.

If he was on betts, what was he doing in last qtr, bettes was bloody unstoppable ::)

we'll need him primed again this week, the saints have a few slippery little oompa-loompahs.

Betts was in the midfield in the last.

And how good was he? Should spend more time up the ground.

The last quarter Eddie cut us apart in tight and Gibbs was always on his own.

Thought Morris looked very leg heavy in the last. But wasn't on his own.

Morris was one of our best. Did he job, slapped betts. Betts went the middle in the last, super coach should've moved Grigg off Judd and moved him straight onto betts. Jackson back onto Judd and tried Edwards on Yarram.

Top game by Morris. Absolutely blanketed that sniper and provided some good run. One blunder when he went up 2nd man and missed a punch and the ball got in behind but other than that cleaned Milne up. I did notice quite a lot last night all our players flying in the pack leaving their man alone behind the pack. We gave away too many goals for my liking that way.

It's a good point in the mentality our coaching staff is after, don't expect someone else to do it ,do it yourself an do it hard
