Late Saturday night I was listening to Terry Towling's segment on the radio reviewing the day's games. I generally take what Terry has to say with a grain of salt. But he did have some interesting comments in regards to Steve Morris. He said that being a son of a former club premiership player, RFC recruiters had had an eye on S.Morris for several years, going back to when he was at the conventional draft age of 17/18yo. It was more a matter of him getting his body right and playing some consistantly good footy at State League Level and now he is earning the rewards for that hard slog.GoodOne said:

Yeah I heard that to. I was driving home and nearly drove off the road when he said that he had predicted when coach that the Tigers would come good in 2011 and had only been one year out.Panthera Tigris said:

Its only because of Dimma, Benny and the rest of the staff, coaches etc that we are in the position we are in now.
If the "Suntanned One" was still coach we would be lower on the ladder than Melbourne. :

Fixed the biggest gap we have with one pick and two guys. Morris looks more and more at home. Taking the game on. Make no mistake, one a back pocket kicks a goal like that and runs back to stand next to Cyril it sucks the life out of the other mob. Plays within him limitations. Doesn't try and do anythign outside of his skill set. Attack on the ball is first class.
The love just grows. I now really enjoy watching him play. I get a genuine sense of joy whenever he goes near the footy.
I admit I was wrong with this bloke. Has played well all year bar NAB Cup where I had doubts. Looks like myself and Zip were wrong on this one. Let's hope he does a number on Milne this Friday.

Surely the goal he kicked should be goal of the round, for a defender to run, carry, bounce, evade and goal like that.... priceless.
