Steve Morris F/S

When non richmond people question the selection ,

you know its more than just being a maligned player .

Morris stats for the game: 8 disposals ( 3 kicks and 5 handballs) (disposals by quarter 1.1.3.3), 3 contested and 5 uncontested, 62% DE.

139 metres gained, 1 mark, 6 tackles, 23 pressure acts, 1 score assist, 76% Game time.

Had the equal lowest disposals for anyone on the ground with Castagna.

28 yrs old, 87 games, 6th season on the list.

I agree with most on Morris, thing is if the Club believe he is best 22 surely a solid couple of months in the 2s and a mid season return would have benefited all concerned....... biggest issue for me with him is he goes to ground way easy

When even Garry Lyon questions Dimmas selection of FFS you know you've stuffed up.

Biggest issue for me is how he always gets there half a second too late.

Hopefully Morris never plays another senior game for RFC.
Let him be a leader and mentor down in the VFL team. He might serve a useful purpose there.

Unfortunately BT we say that after every senior game he plays.

Yes, Broders, you are right. We do seem to say such things pretty frequently.
Why is it that most supporters and punters rate Morris's worth to the team as pretty low/minimal when Hardwick seems to view his worth entirely differently?
I really do struggle to make any sense of Morris's selection in the seniors. Really brings so little to the structure or development of the side.

Very untimely intervention by Lyon.

Dimmer is stubborn so he will be standing his ground at selection.

Interesting test this week to see how the power dynamics work out. If Morris and Ellis stay in, Dimmer is marking his territory.

Yes Dimmer will now be very determined to prove Lyon wrong.

yep, we will see how much weight Leppacella carries at the selection table.

A pass mark was 15+ possies with minimal *smile* ups , he had 5p and couldn't do a thing right , if he remains in the side , we have no idea

That kick for goal. ...
I Turned to my brother and said this will go way over here.
I was wrong it went way over there. You just knew it would happen.
Love his tenacity but he is not an AFL standard player.

Got to admire his tenacity and loves the club. A true clubman who should only be in our VFL side to be called up in an emergency. A coach killer for *smile*!

I think he must be one of those strong personalities that almost intimidates the coach into picking him over others.
The coach doesn't want to have the hard convo with him - so picks him.
Coach has to be strong and stand over ALL personalities.
This is the only straw I can clutch.
If true, maybe C Ellis and Milesy need to borrow some of Morris' squeaky wheel stuff

Dimma's stubbornness on Morris, Hunt and Lambert will ultimately get him sacked.

Neither are skilled enough to play league football, and they make the team weaker.

Just very limited footballers
