was best on by a mile in the first half against Essendon last week

Yep. Could you pick his position though? He seemed to be pushing up through wing and midfield a lot, which seemed odd, because we were getting dominated in the backline.

I much prefer Morris as the back pocket option.

True, he may have been told to just go & get the footy, did ya see the tackle he laid in front of the JD stand ?, the Essendon bloke sh** bricks :)

He actually played some decent football before he did his knee.

This coincidentally started when he was put back in defence.

Look, if he played like he did in 2012, 2013 then great, he'd be a bonus. But that's 4/5 seasons ago now.

Morris getting lots of love ,

its funny how it all gets less feral when we are winning ;D

He can't play again unless he's last on the list available, including rookies.

I thought Morris at his best was our best back pocket stopper for the last decade. Eddie Betts didn't like playing on him.

Saw Morris in the twos last week.

He was terrific. Physically he was top notch. Ran hard, tackled, great voice, was encouraging and teaching at the breaks...

But he was still Morris, bad decisions with the ball, hospital handballs etc. It was just that at this level he was able to clean up his messes with follow up play.

Only break in case of emergency player, but you know Hardwick will ease him in.

The reason we are playing well is that we are not carrying three players anymore.

Our marginal players are Lambert, Lloyd, Miles  instead of Hunt, Morris, Hampson.

Dimma will try to squeeze him back in. We can carry one drone but why do we want to?

Hope Morris serves out the bulk of his remaining career at RFC in the VFL team. Would be an excellent captain of the ressies team and provide some strong leadership to the younger players on the list. He is, in my meager opinion, too much of a liability in the seniors if the Tigers are to become serious contenders.

I agree BT. Great endeavour but by nature not a lockdown defender and too many poor decisions for a running defender. Not a forward by any stretch of the imagination

No mention of Houli as a marginal player!

Good to see you have finally seen the light. ;D

Has played his role OK. Still has a lot of work to do to get positive on my ledger but clean hands and decisive ball use is what I like in a backman and he is doing that (enough) ATM.

All power to him.

Just a reminder of how Morry was playing the week before he did his knee.

It may be a coincidence, but in the three weeks since Bachar has been out, young Stevie has played his best footy in years.

His relentless attack on the contest has always been good to watch...until he mucked up. Now he often comes out with the ball and runs with it! Still needs to tighten up and be more accountable, but overall there is a much needed improvement to his game.

Credit where it is due. Seems Hardwick always believed when the majority of fans did not. Wonder if having faith makes him a good coach...? Time will tell.

FFS is actually playing pretty well at the moment.

Well done Stevie M.

Good that the starjump brigade has to shut-up for another week.

I had him as our fifth best. The stigma slightly lingers but I no longer cringe when he has the ball.

That must have been his best game for our club
