Steve Morris F/S

Oh come on we need a whipping boy and Steve is just that.
Not his fault he got picked in the forward line but in 2015 his performances were barely VFL level

So direct the attacks at those who thought he could play as a forward. I really doubt it was Steve demanding they play him there. For most backman, once a back, always a back ... except for the very talented who get swung forward earlier in their careers.
Someone tried to play Rance as a mid too; worked just as well!

He gives 100 per cent always.
Leave Steve alone.

I was very impressed with Stevie in the RFC training where he was miked up, he is from all accounts a leader and its highly visable and audable why. Obviously poor this year and bad shoulder last year, he should be a backman and depth going forward, love his endeavour and always gives 100%. I have no issues with him being on the list next 2 years as we try to teach these kids (18 in last years join our club) the work ethic and leadership qualities required going forward, hard as nails unfortunately not blessed with lids or cotchys skills!

Steves 100% sadly is not good enough
Should be captain VFL side & matchday runner which is his calling

Morris has been a servant. Hopefully he is not in the best 22 most weeks. Give him some big responsibilities in the ressies and let him be a leader in the VFL.

If Steve spends more weeks playing for the VFL than he does in the AFL, then we know that the team is travelling well and most of the better players are fit.

I can't see Morris getting too many games in the seniors this year.

At the crossroads.

I reckon he'll be phased out. It's early, but I can't see what the point of recruiting this bloke really was except for F/S try out.

Had some of the worst ball use of the night. Needs to play back pocket as his only way of getting a game.

Agreed.
All 3 of Morris, Batchelor & Astbury looked like they've gone backwards.

Agree, sadly the one we need most, Astbury, injury may have cruelled.

Broad can replace Batchelor, maybe an Ellis or Conca will have to go down back, especially with no Yarran option, but Elton will be needed to be the KPB for Astbury.

Who knows where Todd is at though??
