Steve Morris F/S

The shoulder came out from my PoV. It was right in front of me. He looked rougher than usual for a while after, doting on it as he does from time to time. But seemed to regain his confidence.

I didn't think he was our worst by a long way.

It is quite an interesting study to watch a guy who came onto the scene and looked a lock for the back half and with development should improve. He has gone backwards at an astonishing rate of knots I find it hard to believe.

He is truly a liability and if he wasn't the worst the other night then there are some other real big problems whilst we await the return of Knights, Foley, Conca etc. Even McDonough would be more valuable than Steve he just aint got it unfortunately.

How long can we sustain Morris simply throwing himself at the man/ball and not hitting the score board but still get a game....
Some other smalls not only do they pressure the opposition they also kick goals, On the weekend Garlett 4 goals, Wingard 5, betts normally kicks bags, Elliot of the pies, the hawks smalls more times than not kick goals as does Lindsay thomas/nahas, this time around it was nahas who kicked 4...

Morris in 9 out of 11 games (2 games he played back) has kicked 4 goals thats atrocious but the coach believes he should get rewarded for what? cause he runs around like a headless chook playing kamikaze football giving away as many frees as he gets...

His average tackles per game is 3 and disposal 7.9...How can he kick 3 or more goals in a game when he averages 2.8 kicks per game....

Agree, he gets busy being a top Back Pocket / HBF or he gets dropped. He doesn't have the poise though.

He was tried as a bp/hb last year ( and before) and was abysmal. He has been tried as a defensive forward and has been abysmal. In most cases this would necessitate demotion to the VFL side. Not sure why it doesnt in Steves case.

I understand that, but we have him on a contract and I suggested he "get busy", that is not necessarily exclusively in the Senior side. Did use the word 'drop'. I don't think he can make it now either as the team has improved markedly and once upon a Richmond-time he was a certain pick back there, now he realistically struggles. Many a player has read the writing on the wall and found a way of improving as a whole side does - that's all I'm saying.

Understand that, it was more of a general question. I used to be a big fan of Morris but he aisnt the same guy in 2014/2015 as he was prior.

cut the crap...worst 11 games imaginable from anyone ive seen,....running late to contests frantically is cringeworthy,,..meanwhile McDonough is playing real good footy in the reserves.......just do it dimma...

if ever a game was poised to be a "morris major" this is it. Small ground with FWD pressure being a key - if he doesn't produce the required pressure and turnovers on the SCG then one has to question his role.

I wish someone would ask the question to him, Why is he in the team?

Someone has havent they? Thats when Dimma made the comment about not looking at the stats sheet ( or something like that) and the forward pressure Steve brings.
