Two games. Misses targets under no pressure. Misses handballs that are longer than 5 metres.

Interesting mate.

Which two games were they? Just asking cause I would want to go over the tapes. He seemed pretty good to me.

www.bigpondvideo.com

type 'foxtel cup' into the search and then look for West Adelaide games

vs Williamstown
vs Ainslie

Have also said elsewhere that he runs over the ball too much. Doesn't slow down so that he can actually affect the contest.

Thanks mate, will take a look.

Morris' stats for 2011.

Not a big tackler, but these stats indicate he did improve as season went on and may have moved to the backline after starting forward in the early parts of the year.

Interesting....

Danog you don't seem to rate his disposal yet the stat's tend to indicate otherwise....

This was taken from that link a couple posts above me.

At the end of round 18, he was going at a kicking efficiency of 78.9% and a disposal efficiency of 83.2%

Maybe he just had a bad couple of games?

Maybe. It was pretty bad, though.

I think it would be better to go off his season stat's rather then off of a couple games, everyone has bad games and I'm sure what you saw was simply out of the norm for him.

Wow that's pretty good. I know its not AFL level but the disposal efficiency would put him 3rd in the AFL of anyone who played 10 games or more in 2011 (or about 10th or 11th if you take out just the 1 and 2 gamers). Surely he's worth a punt when he's basically costing us nothing.

My take is the club didn't consider him worth a third round pick as a F/S - and did a cute deal with GWS to get him. Whether this strange deal is a precursor to some larger undertaking or just GWS wanting to poke PA in the eye I don't really get it. Maybe all will be revealed in good time. As far as Morris is concerned - you get what you pay for. He's a bit of a long shot.

A few SANFL watchers think he is worth a late 1st/early 2nd rounder. Hence Port were going to bid pick 33. We decided to get him cheaper. Smart trading. We would have happily used a 3rd rounder i believe but it wouldn't have been an option.

Well I'd say that easily 80% of his kicks haven't hit a target.

Thats rubbish...

At 185cm and 84kg Morris is a no-frills, hard-at-it defender who has had an outstanding season under coach, triple Hawthorn premiership player Andy Collins. Morris was going at a kicking efficiency of 78.9% and a disposal efficiency of 83.2%.

Danog, you saw 2 games. I could cherry pick 2 games of just about any player in the league and "prove" they can't kick.

This trade is professionalism at work, now with GWS in our corner I'd love to see us angle for a pick in the mini draft.

Rumours on BF that we still going for Luke Brown in exchange for Jacko. They just wont go away.

I've been burnt too many times by info from Big Fruity, if it's true then another big win for the RFC.

Any stats on brown??

No idea. But he would be a very good upgrade on Jackson. Can play HBF, Wing or has even played forward late in the year. Only 19 and killing it in the SANFL.
