Has Morris been on an AFL list before? I 'm pretty sure only uncontracted / previously listed players can nominate a price, first timers just take whatever the AFL gives them.

Anyone can nominate a price, but generally only 1 or 2 do. We'll know by Monday morning. Going to be a tough gig for a 23 year old with one good season of footy to his name to live up to the expectations of some on this forum though.

Indeed, he's gone from nowhere to being already drafted and being the answer to our hb problems!

is he worth a 3rd rounder?

Easily. You can watch his foxtel cup games for Westies on bigpondvideo.com Just search for Foxtel Cup. Blonde guy no.38.

Kev Morris was 2nds coach in 95, I certainly remember that. I was a trainer that year and the only thing he said to me for the whole year was :
"who are you?"

What a coincidence, every time I ask someone for $10 I get the same answer Tim.

Interesting situation . If we have offered our 3rd rounder for Maric what would happen if we have to reserve it for Morris because someone else bids ? We would have to get another 3rd rounder from somewhere .

Maybe that is why the Maric deal is difficult .

Just a thought

Same number his Dad wore.
I wonder if "Royce" Griffiths would give up the number.

Got it,

Nothing to write home about.

4th Round pick,no more,,,,,,,,,plays far too much like hislop.

He's nothing like Hislop apart from being tough as nails. Easily worth our 3rd (which is a normal 4th)

Hard thing to gauge with him is that u can watch a whole game compared to a kids highlights package. Watching his full games you see his errors.

I really cant see any of hislop in Morris TBH
He can kick
He reads the play well
He is fast
He plays Tall

To be honest i only watched first quarter.

The first two times he went near it he misjudged it badly, and another couple of times he crashed through, and made something happen.

I am happy to know more about him,and comparing him to hislop, based on a few minutes of a game is unfair.

Probably should have said Jason Johnson from bummers.

So we get him for a pick we probably wouldnt have used anyways, sounds ok

Is he a good kick, and good overhead, and quick, and hard, if so,he would play before 40% of our list i would imagine.

So looks like we're leaving a nomination to the last possible day (Friday) or not nominating him at all.

Which game did u watch? vs Willy or Ainslie? The Willy game he stunk it up the very first play from memory totally mis-judged the flight of it and Hooper marked over the back. He's quick and hard, and id say he is a good kick, not elite by any stretch but he does a fair bit of their kick-ins if that is any indication on his abilities.

Personally I wouldn't even know if we can nominate him before Friday.
