1 kick, no marks, 7 handballs....yes 52 hit outs (how many to advantage?) don't think that would make him worthy of 3rd best on ground.
As I said, Voss, Brereton and King, clearly saw it very differently.

Black armbands tonight were for his father who passed away last weekend.

Respect.

The dad was dying last week. He went during the week.

Hamster got flogged then worked.

I didn't know that when I shitcanned him last week. My error. Tough times.

I like the way he worked tonight.

I dont reckon i could even play a game of marbles if my old man carked it. respect. RIP old man velvet hammer.

Gods gift of two arms is a waste on this bloke. He only ever uses one.

His hit outs are his strength but he only ever hits it back into open play making it a 50/50 crumb. His around the ground play is non existent.LOL at when he found himself as part of a handball chain and had NFI what to do with it.

Ivan....please get well soon!!

A more athletic Robbie Warnock. Hitouts and that is it. Couldn't clunk a mark or butter up with a handball to save himself tonight. Has a definite role, but will be most effective in conjunction with Maric.

Elite tap ruckman, athletic but just poor.. will be a gap player, might get close to a flag with us but probably replaced by a young gun.. I think TV needs 1-2 years of rucking again and he could be our ruckman for next 5 years, he owned Nic Nat as a youngster, he was the best ruckman in the land as an 18 year old..

Jack can be dominate in any forward set up, you think Hawk wouldnt take him tomorrow... dimma is playing around to get us to the next level.. Hawk are bigger than Brissy but cant see TY playng next week unless he kicks a bag... Dimmas playing and trying to work out how to get us to that next level...

Elite tap ruckman,

I keep hearing this and just don't see it. These taps to advantage that are claimed have got to be fairytales as they didn't exist tonight in any quantity or more importantly, in quality. Claimed on SEN he had had a bad week personally, something about best wishes to the family, so if true would put tonight's game to one side, but really, these advantage taps he is supposedly elite at are a mystery to me.

LOL...watch the replay mate and you'll see PLENTY of taps to advantage from the game. Not his fault our mids didn't take full advantage of it, particularly in the first half and late in the game. Absolutely dominated West, and so he should.

I think he's dad died during the week hence the armbands... he will fill a role for next 2-4 years, need a ruck / player, would have loved broadie but would prefer Vlasty, isn't he a gem, only 19

When Maric returns Hampson will play 60% of time forward
He's taken 7 marks in 4 matches this year, mainly on his own roaming around the ground, 2 contested.
Hampson is not going to be an effective third tall forward unless he learns to catch the pill
The marks he's dropped have been pathetic and costly on the rebound as he has no ground recovery skills
Prefer Griffiths in the backup ruck role unless Hampson develops sticky fingers very quickly.

He isn't the answer. We need a ruckman that can ruck but also be an influence around the ground.
His not.

While getting plenty of hitouts, too many favoured the opposition.

His marking is dreadful - whether it's his eyesight or he's just unco. Have to better than that to have a long term future.

Message to Vickery should be if he wants his spot back, it has to be as a ruckman.

We looked better when Griffiths rucked last night.

I actually don't see how that's going to work.

Hampson is useless anywhere other than the ruck. Has the worst coordination in the afl, butter fingers and drops every mark that comes his way. So crap around the ground and up forward. What happens when Maric is in the ruck?

We paid way overs for him.

Was a little fumbly but his intensity was first rate.

Ground level pressure acts were elite for such a big man.

Stout hearted last night.

Loved his attempted facial mark, gave me a quiet chuckle. Still not sold on the big Hamster, is only half a player at the moment. Rucking well enough n competing but geez his marking n fluidity with ball use or linking into play is near non existent.
