Or the previous guy who wore 16 for the RFC. ;D
Hamster's been ok in both games so far. Just need to iron out a couple of McCalamity wrinkles out of the 16 jumper re goal kicking and things should be fine.

Hamster n Griffinator appear to be a handy mobile ruck / forward combo in the making.

Don't forget Tyro. We can finally have the Triple Towers working cohesively around the ground.

Not forgotten but Dimma wants Plasma to stay more key forward n just sneak him through the ruck if really desperate.

Liking the Hamster. Has really good athleticism for a big bloke. A couple of his chases in particular were impressive.

iVan and the HamperVan with Plasma and the Griffin as second rucks isn't a bad ruck dept. add in the Big O as the 5th and we're pretty deep.

With news that your iVan may go into the workshop for some serious repairs, your HamperVan just got a whole better look about it.

it's clear now big Ivan is carrying something bad hence we went hard and fast 2nd round hampster.
but I don't understand why they just did not send him straight to the workshop last year

he will do a job. With Eeevan's injury worries Blair Hartley is looking like nostradamus .

Hartley is the most valuable asset at the club right now. Opposition will be throwing big bucks at him.

Hammer's vertical leap in the ruck contest is extremely impressive. With the new ruck rules his perceived lack of core strength is less of an issue.
Fantastic acquisition.

What I’m impressed with is how good he is at finding a teammate. The stats say he is elite at that, and watch on tape in his first few games how often he finds a Tigers player. It’s a underrated skill because simple hitout stats don’t pick it up.

Maybe rest him now that Ivan is out of the frame for the serious stuff. We cant afford to lose him, touch wood, before the season proper.

look out, here comes the hampster. great signs.

my only small knock is his marking technique, seems flimsy and easy to spoil.

This is so true. If I remember correctly the deal was done on the first day of trade period. Internally, I think the club knew that Ivan was cooked and they had to have a replacement. Maybe that's why it was done so quickly at a price slightly on the high side. If we didn't have Hampson, we'd be in real trouble.

Is it too early to call our draft and trade period another smashing success?

I reckon Leppa will be after him. The Brisbane list needs a huge overhaul.

Far too early. Our draft picks are yet to make the grade.

It depends on what situation he is in when marking. In packs his technique might not be that great but when he leads, he stretches out the jukes he looks very solid. Too tall and long for most defenders to spoil.
