Thought he was good , his tapwork gave us an advantage ( that we butchered ) and his effort was there. he will get better with more game time.
P.S i remember Ivans first game , and it was no worse than hammers

Hampster outlined yet again why he is such a valuable asset, his taps to advantage were a treat to watch, it's part of the reason why guys like Thomas appear to have lifted their game to the next level.

Very fine tapwork, eh, bully.

The other great thing Hampster did last night was not get slaughtered. I have horrific memories of Warnock's previous game against us.

And over the course of the game Hampster got angry and increasingly involved at ground level. Good game.

Gee Hampster was happy at the end. Seems to have really embraced the club.

Yes, was much better against Warnock then Maric was at the game I dare not mention last year.

At every ball up, Hampson makes the ball his object. Not looking at the man or contact, "there it is I'll go get it. " That's a ruck.

And ground level you say Jack. A couple of times last night he bowled over Richmond players trying to get it off the carpet. That's ok as well. Anyone who has a huge leap and is just as quick competing at ground level is ok by me.

He was the one who laid out Grigga in that marking duel, SCOOPer. Haha. Maybe he was having an ID crisis. As long as he gets angry I'm happy. I bet the coach is too.

He's the real deal as a tap ruck for sure, brother.

The more important question is why are you posting at this ungodly hour Jack.

Have you got your pm's & am's mixed up?

I really like the Hammer-Grigg collision. Sure somebody should call, but bottom line is that Hammer is attacking the ball with purpose and Grigg had the courage to go back.

This was good from twitter

@Richmond_TT: Over simplification, but in the final we lost hitouts by -15, clearances -11. tonight HO -2 clearances +1

I have no idea, Bryan. Might be time to Soylent Green me.

didn't take the colossus pack marks that is Ivan's signature. if we go off the boil in second halves these grabs are worth gold. the hampster was good but has straw arms.

Fair call, it's certainly one part of his game that needs improving. In saying that, it's pretty rare to get the complete package these days. For a second rounder I think we got a bargain basement ruckman who's also handy at ground level. There wouldn't be too many others who tick all three boxes, Cox & Nic Nat maybe the only one's who can lay claim to being complete footballers.

On the Carlton game, does anybody please have the stats for hitouts to advantage of the ruckmen? I cant find them anywhere.
