Ok, don't worry, Castagna will stop Henderson doing this and will kill him with his 5 disposals for 0.2 and 2 x OOB as well. Bet they're worried. Also about the threat Grigg poses when he relieves Nank in the ruck. Frightening prospect for the Cats. They've only played finals for 10 out of the last 11 years or something, but clearly have no idea; fancy playing all these big men!

We'll show 'em!

Georgie will have him running around in circles

True. He's good at that, George. Just doing something useful with the ball at the end is my worry.

I only saw 2nd half and thought Hampson was hopeless in the 3rd, hitouts straight to opposition and did nothing around the ground. But thought he lifted in the last. Hardly saw Griffiths at all. Personally can't see either being selected for first final.

Have to agree.

If Hansen was dominating, he could come in, because both he and Nank can clunk a big grab or 2 , so that's not such a bad thing in a big final., still plenty of small forward pressure, on the flip side, they got this without them, they got this far with the small forwards running a muck, as long as they keep the pressure on, and the ball comes to ground, we can beat anyone.

one week at a time. forecast weather sees raining for the rest of the week. Can't bring him in for this week, need the shorter fast running players.

If Caddy is not fit, then Miles should come in for Markov. The conditions will suit Miles and give Richmond another option in the centre.

My forecaster says a morning shower or two and at night, a 60% chance of rain up to 3mm. So at this stage it looks possibly like rain during the day and maybe clearing up in time for the night game.

Any chance he's a surprise inclusion?

Hope not. He may be a great tap ruckman but that's about it. Is a witches hat after that and will be a liability. Not versatile enough.

do people understand its a final not a home and away game?

Big fat no in please

Learn from our last final? unless their an A grade player then no

So how does 2018 pan out for Hampy?

With the drafting of CCJ and Miller I'd assume it'd push Hampy down the pecking order where only injuries will allow him and AFL call up.

Big jump to AFL level. I suspect both will be plying their trade in the VFL for experience and building up to AFL level. How mch game time Hampson gets will probably depend on Nankervis's fortunes in 2018.

Without doubt it has to be Hampsons last year as he is uncontracted for 2019

Soldo
Nankervis
Miller
CJ
Grigg
Balta
Baker

Too many Rucks already

You forgot Rioli

Hampson is good insurance in '18

CCJ, Balta, Miller etc. will all need a while, Soldo is not there yet but should be close next year. After next year though Hampson probably does make way. He is a decent back-up to have though for at least one more year.

His contract allowed us to delist Vickery & ironically Hampson probably played his part when it came to our drafting of him...

Has this year taught us nothing about the value of talls without below the knee, pressure, clearance or around the ground skills.
