Wish Hampson a successful recovery, but his absence has hardly been noticed. A second or third string ruckman if he remains on the list.

Should pay him out. Waste of a list spot. Waste of money and resources just sitting on the sidelines regardless.

Accept it was a abject failure and move on. Grab the best state leaguer ruck if we need a 3rd in line ruck behind Nank and Soldo.

Nahas would be better then this dud. Never wanted when we first got him and don't want him now.
Agree. Pay him out

I've noticed it. I like winning.

What will be noticed if he isn't re-signed is some decent salary cap space.

His days are numbered.

We will still need another ruckman though with Hampson and Maric gone.

Like in the away game to the Crows? You probably didn't notice Jacobs' game though. Did what he liked.

But then, bias is a form of blindness.

Brilliant club policy; should be applied to all injured players.

And such state leaguers are only playing there because no one of your astute football knowledge has bothered to notice them.

The sh!ttest trade ever in the history of this club.

Yep Yarran cost us picks and salary space but Hammer cost us picks, money, list space, games and development opportunities for more talented kids

No, no he's been an astute pick up, I mean it's not like we didn't know he was injury prone when at Carlton.....

Into his 11th season for 98 games.

Forget his injury, we had many years to simply watch him play at Carlton.

Well, I tried ... I tried really hard to leave this alone. But the flesh was weak, as well as the spirit. Please don't remove it though, Lamby, as this is the 4th time I have been back, and it just cracks me up each time. I just love it. A post of monumental ... absurdity (see I kept it nice there!).

Just philosophically, the thought process is intriguing. So, a complete nothing is superior to (at least) something? But that's inaccurate, because Yarran played zero games for the club but cost upwards of $500K; whereas Hampson, recruited as a back-up ruckman, has had several injuries but produced 35 games for RFC.

So you are arguing a significant debit/loss is preferable? I do regard you as intelligent, Chops, but this has me perplexed. I have to think laterally to explain this absurd reasoning ....

I know, I've got it ... It has to be Megan. You have always had the hots for her, but ... now Shaun has something in the form of Megan; and you have well nothing ... but yourself. That figures!

But please just keep this here, Lamby. No end of amusement. Love it.

Exactly right. It's just lucky he got injured this year, or Nank would be playing in the two's getting VFL quality clearances, and we'd be 1 and 6.
(assuming we could still beat Brisbane, even with the hammer handicap).

It took a bit of good fortune to highlight how useless the hit out stat, and by extension Hampson, is.

If only he hadn't actively been hindering us for the last two years while stealing development off others.
