Coburgtiger said:Sometimes, the one person railing against common knowledge and wisdom, and finding themselves completely on their own, is doing so because they are the only truly objective, free thinking genius. The Galileo's and Plato's of the world.
Usually though, is because they are wrong. The 'holding your underpants firmly against your head while screaming vaguely poetic abuse at trees' people of the world.
Wow! What a philosopher! From little old Coburg too. Never realised Galileo and Plato went around 'holding [their] underpants firmly against [their] head while screaming vaguely poetic abuse at trees' people of the world. And that's what made them geniuses?
Never even realised underpants were invented, in their wide-apart centuries of existence. Can you tell us the brand and colour? Maybe tiger-printed Bonds?
I just don't get what they had against the tree-people of the world? Anti-greenies? Pro-mining?
And how did the geniuses of the many intervening centuries get their recognition, because I have heard little about this philosophical phenomenon until just now?
Please, master, enlighten us further.
