I wish Hampson well in his recovery from back complaints. Other than as a potential back-up, I was thinking that it would be best for the Tigers if Hampson spent the bulk of the season running around in the VFL team. The opportunity for another player now presents itself and that, in my opinion, isn't such a bad thing for the Club.

Well said BT

Bad luck for him but the knackers trade is looking a masterstroke each passing day.

Hampson has been a disastrous trade. Hopefully the Nankervis trade is the salve we need.

Oddly, if we hadn't traded that pick for Hampson we might have drafted Nankervis, who went three picks after the pick we gave up for him.

No, I'm pretty sure we wouldn't have drafted him. We don't draft rucks.

At the risk of further infuriating PREnders, who was drafted with the pick?

Lobb from Giants was still available too.

A cardboard cutout of Lobb would've been a better deal this clown.
Griffens and him would go down as the worse 2 talls I've ever seen play for the club.

Originally it was for our pick 28 which became pick 32. (after compo picks etc)
Pick 32 was traded by Carlton to the Swans for Andrejs Everitt and pick 39.
Carlton spent pick 39 on Cameron Giles.
So in effect we got Hampson Carlton got Everitt and Giles
(Carlton traded pick 33 for Docherty)

I trust Hampson has been watching Nanks to see how a modern ruckman has to have skills are round the park.

So you mean ... at baseball ... or rounders?

???

No one deserves to be injured but imo Hampson out will not in anyway downgrade our chances of success this season. Hopefully he will recover and resume his duties at VFL level

Like in 2016, Mr.Fount of Football Knowledge?

Who did we sell to the knackers? Surely not Eevan? Some wanted to.

Might need him now.
