I wish Hampson well in his recovery from back complaints. Other than as a potential back-up, I was thinking that it would be best for the Tigers if Hampson spent the bulk of the season running around in the VFL team. The opportunity for another player now presents itself and that, in my opinion, isn't such a bad thing for the Club.

Pick 32 was traded by Carlton to the Swans for Andrejs Everitt and pick 39.
Carlton spent pick 39 on Cameron Giles.
So in effect we got Hampson Carlton got Everitt and Giles
(Carlton traded pick 33 for Docherty)

No one deserves to be injured but imo Hampson out will not in anyway downgrade our chances of success this season. Hopefully he will recover and resume his duties at VFL level
