Am still against it but I do know for a fact he is a ripper bloke, read on the RFC website that Hartley said: “Over the past few years we have focused on recruiting players of great character and Shaun also fits this mould."

At least we're not recruiting idiots

I recall plenty having the same reaction when we picked up Maric, swapped out Collins for Grigg/Houli etc..
Let's just wait and see before calling Blair an idiot again. His track record is admirable and deserves the benefit of the doubt.

Why the hell would we do that? Better runs on the board in recent years keeping it. And I would consider Karnezis as steak knifes so effectively giving up 11 for Longer which are massive overs.

I suspect the only reason we have gone in this quick and early is because Hampson has been in Blair's sights for some time. Just hope we have another second round pick coming from somewhere.

Regardless of people's opinions about the recruits over the last few years, we've been pretty efficient targeting the players we have been interested in and getting the trades done early in the last few years.

Is there a slight chance that this was a done deal a long time ago for this to get so quickly? We plugged that second ruck role.
