Has it been confirmed ? Do we know what the full deal is ? Have the current footy dept got it so wrong in the past that it's only natural to expect the worst ?
Everyone is going off half cocked declaring the end of the world when nothing has been confirmed even though our talent spotters have had an exceptional few years at their job.
But to answer your question, if the trade is as you believe then my first thought is that iVan must have some chronic injury clouds hanging over him.

Exactly what still rings in my head is dimma saying kicking mantra well that seems to have gone out the window...
And another thing i hate hearing from some ohh its a shallow draft ffs we hear this every year but gems seem to always be found especially in the first 3 rounds...Only hand out 1st or 2nd rounders on damn good players "hampson is not one of them"...

If Hampson is in does that mean the end for the Big O or does he stay on the rookie list - don't know that he has been offered another year or is it a matter of us having to re-rookie him if we want him for another year?

Hawks apparently giving up their buddy compo pick for longer and doubt we would pay mummy what GWS are paying him. We cannot compete on either front there.

I'd would rather keep Orren on the list than recruit Hampson, but that said the recruiting staff must know far more than I do and I will have to back their judgement ... bt all my fingers are currently crossed that they have got it right.

Gone the panic button a bit early guys!
Deal not done yet & if it has been it's recruiting for a need, which we have & our strike rate has been ok of late.
Shaun Hampson may turn out to be the biggest dud since our last biggest dud but even if he does the world has not ended!

I see the logic in this trade because I think the club has serious doubts on Maric's groin and Vickerys ability to assume the number one ruck mantle. Both genuine concerns IMO and we are ready to push hard NOW.
Still 2nd round seems a little high despite that. Think we saw him tear Post and Griff a new one in one too many rnd 1 games!
