Have never been a real fan and like most thing we payed too much, however I don't mind having a genuine good tap ruck man on the list to cover the ageing Ivan for a few games thru the season, a LOng with the fact we have Grif an TV playing ruck roles, plus Ivan 2 , means we don't have to waste draft picks on rucks for a couple of years , just the odd rookie pick

Traded for pick 28 because we delisted Derrickx. Both had almost identical impacts. So that was a good waste of pick 28.'

Who was taken at 28??

Lewis Taylor - just won the Rising Star!!!

Not your best work Tigers (Blues ontraded 28 to Lions so they can suffer in their jocks too - there I feel a little better)

Except it wouldn't have been 28, it would have been 32.

Missed Toby Nankervis at 35 - let's watch this space.

Surely you agree delisting Derrickx to then pay anything for Hampson was foolhardy.

Take the point though ;)

As ordinary as Hampson has been this year he is a waaaaaay better ruck than Derrickx.

Interesting comparison between Tom and Champ: http://www.footywire.com/afl/footy/ft_player_compare?tid1=15&pid1=1735&tid2=17&pid2=3506&type=A&fid1=S&fid2=S

The only stat Champ wins is the hit outs, 28.9 to 19.5

and disposals, and despite all the (deserved) rubbishing he gets for his poor marking he averages more marks than Derrickx.

Yes, he averages 1/2 a disposal and .6 of a mark per game better than TD. But Tom has SH covered for goals and tackles.......

he averages 50% more marks a game than Derrickx. ;D

Neither of them do much around the ground. one is a good tap ruckman the other is not. I know who i would prefer to bring into the team if Maric was injured in the prelim.

Will he only be a 1 year player for us before moving on.

Who else would want him? Everyone knows he's no good but we gave him a 3 year contract.

We are stuck with him.

Geelong will be desperate for a ruck. Dawson Simpson is shot, back is gone.

Wonder if they would bite?

As bad as he has been, remember his first few games - as a tap ruck were good.

We have to live with him on the list for the next two years, as his trade value is 0 - he won't be going anywhere.

Yep, his first 2 games were reasonable, followed by about 8 stinkers. But yes, unfortunately he won't be going anywhere.

Fingers crossed Essendon are desperate for a ruckman if Ryder leaves and are will to take on Hampsons contract off our hands.

A draft pick for a trade would be a bonus but I'm more interested in the salary cap space.

Come on Bombers. Let's do this.
