Seriously this guy aint gonna make it people need to wake up....His attributes are tap work period but his marking and kicking are shizenhousen.
Plus he doesn't have the motor to get around the ground like Maric does...

Signed a 3 year till 2016 I'm pretty sure.

Actually, it was traded for Sam Docherty. Brisse used it on Nick Robertson.

No TT our pic 32 went to Sydney who used it on Hewett, http://www.footywire.com/afl/footy/ft_drafts
Pic 34 was Carltons pic who traded it to Brissie for Docherty, pic 34 was then used on Robertson, good tough player nick robertson...

In his last two years at Carlton he averaged almost 4 marks including 2 contested. At Rich he is going at 1.8 and 0.27. They need to get his eyes checked.

They need to get something checked. I don't think I've ever seen such a tall player struggle so much in the air as Ham-hands this year.

But you can't pick his 2 best seasons and compare with his worst. That's why I compared his career ave 2.7 with 2014 @ 1.8. Yes it's down on his career ave but it's indicative of the overall picture. Hampy was never a great mark and now he's less of a great mark ....if that makes grammatical sense?

They have some relevance if they are his last two seasons surely?

Its his eyes.

Had a history of eye issues requiring laser treatment.

He has had depth perception issues which have affected his marking.

Really needs to get this sorted out or he will only be a hindrance.

If hampson played out the rest of his contract in the ressies (and was just purely injury back-up) I don't think his absence from the seniors would be noticed.

Shaun Hampson
1 goal, 15 disposals, 6 marks
Very dominant in the ruck when he was in there. Won plenty of hit-outs and marked well around the ground, which was very pleasing but needed him to finish better and hit the scoreboard more.

6 Marks!!!

Never seen a poorer marking ruckman in my life. In 11 games for the Tigers just 3 contested marks. You need your ruckmen as targets down the line, in last line of defence, in the goals square at times to clunk those contested marks every now and then and maintain pressure. Along with that just 1 goal in total and just 1 tackle a game and 4 contested possessions. Compare that to Maric who's kicked 3 in the same number of games, averaged 3.1 tackles a game (6 last game), 8 contested possessions and has taken 8 contested marks (and that's including coming back from a serious injury). Hampson just doesn't cut it. He's only 2 years younger than Maric, hard to see why we would persevere with him. Is he contracted next year?

Trade bait for one of those Dees early picks, they need some mature n ready ruck n KPP type players.

TL, Hampson is contracted until the END of season 2016.
Two more years. Go figure that one.

A major stuff up signing this dud up for 3 years. I thought we were a more professional club now and making mistakes like this a thing of the past.........unfortunately not. In our position we need to get all our list management decisions correct or else we will never reach the top.

Surely we can trade him to Melbourne for their first round draft pick. :clap :clap :clap
