Sam Lloyd

I was sitting in spitting distance when he took that mark. It was a ripper. And then he topped it off with a goal. If he keeps this up and doesn't stagnate or go backwards we have something here.

It will be interesting if he flies for any hangers for the rest of the season - if he doesn't, then its a good guess that he would be under instruction from Dimma to never do it again.

I hope that now he has shown what aerial tricks he has, that Dimma has encouraged him to continue.

Sometnhing to smile about on Saturday afternoon in among a sea of dross.
Has averaged 2 goals a game so far. He keeps that up thats probably a bit above average for a small forward so fingers crossed he keeps it up

Wasnt really a fan but his game on Saturday should mean he stays in the squad for a bit longer.

Reckon this info is true. You could see him making a concerted choice not to fly for the mark early on. I reckon he said stuff this though and took his own action after that. He's not a ground level crumber, he's a mark and Kick forward. Keep going for them Lloydy.

He was involved in some very sharp centre of the ground work in a 5minute purple patch involving Lennon that resulted in two goals - text a mate suggesting they weren't good enough to play finals though :-X. He just keeps getting better.

How good iis it when a kid can play naturally without these *smile* "team" rules.
Looks good

Attended quite a few centre bounces on the weekend.

Shocked the hell out of me. I like it.

Sam Lloyd should be watching Luke Breust.

And two weeks in a row he came off the line and caught the unsuspecting. Irrespective of his tank and the odd hanger (one too many?) I really like his values.

needs the finger pointing to the eyes celebration after kicking a goal

Great little player, classy, knows where the goals are and how to kick the thing through the big sticks. If Rioli comes on as well we might finally have that dynamic duo we've been hanging out for.

And with purpose. I think he knows how to hurt people. And I think he enjoys it Jack.

He thinks he is 6"4 & 110kgs. And I've got no problem with that.

Was snake who called him a suburban footballer, SCOOP?

Lloyd is repping, motherfrowners.

Looks like our only 'midfielder' capable of avoiding WC tackles when he goes into the middle. Such an indictment on our midfield.

then he's sent back into defence

Lloyd is shaping as a senior AFL player, particularly with his ability to shake off more than one opponent. His finishing sets him apart from his team mates.

Gives me a lot of joy watching Sam's work this year.
He's like a hired gunslinger from the O.K. Corral.
Goals are his business and he's taken them everywhere he goes.
agreehere. He is a football player first and foremost. Not used to the best of his abilities as always required to be the defensive player furthwr up the ground. But when our ruck, midfield half and full back lines get sorted he stands a better chance of actually kicking more goals!

Seeing the rapid development of Aaron Hall there's every chance Lloyd can make the transition. Had a great year so far.

What I said was, I think, when he is in the middle he looks like a suburban footballer, when he is in the fwd line he looks like Mark LeCras. I still think that, but I'm a fan. I was shocked when he missed that snap last week.

(and even though our bargain-bin stategy hasn't worked overall, it got us Lloyd at least).
