Sam Lloyd

Re: Welcome Sam Lloyd

Good to see Slamming Sam get a game, i reckon he's good for 3 goals.

Re: Welcome Sam Lloyd

This guy is going to be good or us. He's the genuine mid size forward we've been looking for since ...

Re: Welcome Sam Lloyd

Natural small forwards have no other natural game except one million dirty tricks for kicking a goal. That's Lloyd.

Unless they can cultivate more game, usually more blue-collar game, they can go missing in games. That's Lloyd.

And unless they can develop more stamina and move up the park they struggle for longevity.

I like Lloyd a lot. He's smart and I think young for his years. That should be an advantage - more room to grow. But a coach has to keep pressure on natural small forwards to contribute when they're not kicking goals. That's gotta be Hardwick.

I do like the combination of Lloyd, Morris and Edwards as the small forwards.

Still think we lack for that mega classy small forward with real leg speed Tooheys.

Edwards has got it, but he's more of a midfielder who pushes forward. I think his lack of pace will eventually find Lloyd out, and the less said about Morris as a forward, the better.

Re: Welcome Sam Lloyd

Nah Eddie, is OK pace wise nothing more.

Great sidestep & buys himself time yes. Straightline speed. Nup.

His draft camp testing had him well bellow average in speed. Which is noticable when you watch him

You don't think Morris can fill that role?

He could if it weren't for that word classy. I like Stevie, but he's not classy. Tough and committed, yes.

Re: Welcome Sam Lloyd

Will end up exploited at some stage. Not so much tonight. Walters. Sheesh.

Re: Welcome Sam Lloyd

Pushed hard up the wings which helped the other forwards an nailed what needed to be nailed......test will come up against the top back lines if he can get a 2 a game then it's a huge bonus.......great start with the new tank

Re: Welcome Sam Lloyd

Sharp shooter, doesn't need to see much of the ball to make an impact on the scoreboard.

Re: Welcome Sam Lloyd

Natural forward with natural footy instincts. Another pre season has given him a body shape like an AFL footballer instead of a bush footballer as well.

Could be very handy this year.
