I think I'd rather play Lloyd an Mcbean in front of TV an Morris

Snap!

Forwards who think like forwards and are efficient against hesitators and scrappers.

Re: Welcome Sam Lloyd

Am I wrong in thinking that when he got a run, we looked more dangerous up fwd, surely the Morris experiment cannot continue, cos (a) he's not a fwd, and (b) he's a stopper full stop. Memo to coach put him down back please.

Re: Welcome Sam Lloyd

really like this blokes approach compared to others - funny that, he's a small forward!

Re: Welcome Sam Lloyd

Adds class to the forward line but he's not your typical bland, lack of skill meat and potatoes Hardwick type so I'm not sure if he's in favour.

He got half a game, kicked 4 then was subbed the next game. We'll see.

Re: Welcome Sam Lloyd

locked in for round one but will be played down back to sharpen his defensive skills...

Re: Welcome Sam Lloyd

He's been edged out of the forward line because they have to play Morris there :help

Should play. Probably won't play. Knows where the goals are and doesn't run around like a chook with its head cut off.

Not enough unless he has had 2 shots at goal a game.

Not sure what he has to do to earn more game time.

Morris vd Lloyd. Both will get you 10-15 touches. One will kick 2-3 the other will give away 2-3 free kicks and guard the mark well.

If there was a trophy for mark guarding, it's his Trophy

Re: Welcome Sam Lloyd

The best defensive pressure you can apply is by kicking goals. Lloyd does that. Morris, in contrast, performs star jumps. Lots of star jumps.

'Starjumps' Morris. ;D
Personally I like Dimma's emphasis on the defensive aspects of the game and think he's sending a very clear message to the entire forward line that they're expected to apply pressure both ways. Starjumps seems to have the defensive side down pat but pretty sure his attacking prowess isn't where it needs to be (yet..). Ideally forwards should have a healthy combination of both.

Re: Welcome Sam Lloyd

I thought Starjumps was good over all last weekend.
