Sack Frawley

Support the club for the season.

Well said getback. We can all discuss our opinions and we don't have to agree with everything that happens but they are our club and they need support in bad times as much as good.

Go Tiges.

I was in the Irish Club talking to a guy from Adelaide. He told me that his cousin was talking to some guy in a pub who heard a rumour. The guy who passed on the rumour was sitting on a toilet when two guys came in to have a leak. They started talking about a rumour they had heard. Some player was supposed to have said their coach was a dud. No team mentioned but he thought it must be Richmond. Any underqualified village idiot can say "A player told me Frawley is a moron." OK you underqualified village idiot, now prove it.

So, brainiac which player told you this rumour? Was it Mr You are full of *smile*? Maybe it was You Are Full Of IT? Or maybe it was it was the guy in a tiger suit claiming he wa a player but really he isn't?

You're a moron, and you shouldn't be posting this crap.

Look at Melbourne and follow their lead from last season.
Finally to Tigertime, what a gutless individual you are, using supposed players quotes, no doubt if you were facing Frawley one on one you wouldn’t say a word. No name, no proof of a playing saying what they said, just conjecture.

1) I support the club for life. Not for a season. You need to think long term if you are to support this club. Because the present is miserable as usual. Long term, the club would greatly benefit from getting rid of frawley now. Every day he coaches, he does a little more damage to the culture of this great club.

2) To the Melbourne supporter. You barrack for a loser club that has the least passionate supporters. Go back to sipping champaign. You have a mediocre list and coach. Daniher is a joke. See where you are at the end of the season, or two or three seasons. You will never get another flag. When frawleys goes, watch out because your crap club will be smashed.

3) This quote is from a senior player. Frawley is an absolute moron. He is certainly not alone. It is not in his best interest for me to single him out when you consider how many of his friends think exactly the same. Its up to the president to sack the coach. Its up to the president to talk to the players. Maybe Casey just isnt listening. Maybe we need to make a bit more noise before he will get the message.

4) The win over hawthorn was embarrassing. You have to be a moron to think otherwise. They played 10 mins of football and showed the potential of that list. Even if it was against no opposition. A good coach will get 120 mins out of them. End of story.

if the player is game enough to make such a public statement then he wont mind being named on here.but then again as we all suspect you wont as you will be found out.

I have read some of the dumbest comments by people here. I didnt realise that unless you work in that industry you are not allowed to have an opinion or critisize. Your not even allowed to ask questions. Lets just blindly follow the club and whatever they do lets just accept it.

No wonder we are 20+ years for the tip bc some people dont understand what constructive criticism means. Its toiletry when one supporter tells another to follow another club, bc they think they are a better supporter than others bc of a difference of opinions.

It's obvious a lot of people on this thread are getting way too serious and resorting to name calling and abuse etc., just because others do not agree with their opinions.

I think (hope) we all support our club and that we can all be mature enough to respect others views on whatever. Sensible debate is fine, trying to ram one's own opinion down anothers throat is senseless because the more one tries to force another to do anything the more we naturally resist and become defensive.

If we were to sit down and discuss a lot of these issues verbally I don't think there would be the level of insults flying around that is on this thread. The written word can be misinterpreted very easily and inflame a situation that would not otherwise be the case over a beer, wine or fruity lexia.

Just remember all on PRE want the Tigers to be successful whether they've been a Tiger for one year or 50 years. We are all equal and we all want the same end result.

IMHO we should state our opinions, debate them politely if required or bothered and respect that others will not always agree and will have their opinions. ;)

A few points-
1. Jackstar, I support you in saying that we are too negative and should still try to be positive and support the club through the hard times, no matter how long.
2. Tigertime, a) don't even bother posting ridiculous quotes unless you have the guts to back up it's validity. All criticism put towards you is deserved. You are acting like a troll at the moment.
b) I must be a moron, because I didn't think the win over Hawthorn was embarrassing, I actually enjoyed it.

Like th UN peace keeping troops in Kosovo seperating the Serbs and the Albanians, the upcoming roadtrip thumpings will restore peace and order back to the message boards - where the only discussions will then be a) when to sack frawley, b) who will replace him and c) anticipation regarding the concession pick.

An embarrasing win!!!!!!!!!!!!!
*smile* me lve heard it all!!!

'Yes we were ashamed to perform better than the opposition and want to assure all members steps will be taken to eradicate these embarrasing wins from our culture."

Ive just written Tony Greenburgs article for the week.

At the end of the day even the anti-Spusters have calmed down when it comes to calling for Spuds head.
On my part in particular, its a case where you go to the footy and sit and wonder whether to cheer or not. It was if i was in a vacuum on the first quarter on Friday night. I am looking at a group of players all of a sudden attacking the ball and running the lines, and constantly asking the question, why tonight?, why not last week or the week before?
Are the players trying to show us in their own fashion that, in effect we have got the endeavour and will show you a little, and then we can fall back into our errant ways just to remind you of the last few weeks.

I dont know what the story is down at tigerland, the only ones that know are the players and the staff, so all you can do is wonder, comment on what you are wondering and when the year is over and things pan out, see how far or how near the mark you were with your wondering.

Now we can keep spud there and he will see out this year, but if we dont bite the bullet and make sure we set ourselves up in a dominant position when draft time comes around, for the sake of appeasing a cross section of short sighted supporters that just want to sing a club song then we are doomed, get with the page tigers, the current AFL climate does not allow a team to climb into the upper echelon of the ladder if it doesnt do its time at the bottom.

Blame the AFL for conjuring up this type of scenario, but its there and it needs to be acted upon now!!!

Take a look who is in the bottom 5 on the ladder and you will see that there are plans in place by other once and still powerful clubs to replenish their stocks befoer making assaults on the flag.

Its the only way to do it with salary caps in place, you need to get the best for cheap for a few years and make hay while the sun shines. Like the Saints, they have a window of a couple of years now with their youngsters.
If they dont bring home the bacon while they pay them pittance then when their contracts come up again, they are toast in regards to salary caps.

Start thinking outside the square tigers.

Tiger Superstar

Simple question for you.

Did they play their best football for 120 mins.

10 mins of football does not make a great spectacle.

Did we not win because of hawthorns incredible ineptitude and the simple fact that crawford didnt play in the middle of the ground.

Time for you to answer some questions. Take the blinkers off.

My only criticism of Friday night is the hype from fans and the media regarding Frawley....its almost as if we are so bad to even consider sacking him bc he is a good guy. Just the whole family stuff was so irrelevant to the situation. Then the interview with his dad.....

Like I said, what happens if we get slapped in the next few weeks? Thats the only reason I refuse to get excited....we know have to back it up with some consistency.

5- if you think we are bad, you didnt watch carlton yesterday.

First off, if we have come to the point where we are starting to feel ok about our predicament just because our old foes are worse off then it looks like the 20 years of mediocrity has indeed created a new angle at when looking at positives.

Secondly, and most importanly, if we had suffered the same punishment given to the blues by the AFL in regards to draft picks etc. where would you think we would be right about now?

The team showed us a quarter of footy and we fell over the line against a team that is about to enter the twilight zone with us.

The blues gave the eagles a pasting and played 4 quarters of footy in doing so, and were hailing a youngster as the best thing since jezza.

They had a full forward that came off the ground and gave the one finger salute and then proceeded to win the game for them.

I bet you would have had that thought, buzzing around your mind, when the name on everybody's lips was walker, that gee i wish we had him in yellow and black.

And i would bet that the blues supporters dont even know who Jay Schulz is...so who is better off jackstar?

All this pety arguing is not getting anywhere. The bottom line is he will go at the end of the year and that is that. If anyone thinks that the win over Hawthorn makes up in anyway the crap we had to witness for the previous month is mistaken. Not only will he go then a lot of those senior duds will go with him.

Tigertime, you keep accusing everybody else of being a moron but every time you put up a post you only prove what a moron you really are.

Your quote above was aimed at me. I have been following and supporting Richmond for 40 years now. I used Melbourne as an example of what supporting you club, coach and players can achieve. I thought that was fairly obvious.

Another thing Moron (oops sorry Tigertime) there is nothing worse IMO than a supporter of any club who cant recognize, acknowledge and appreciate football or footballers from other clubs. I love the tigers but I also love footy. So you brain dead ramblings about Melbourne shows what an imbecile you really are.

Finally if you cant get any joy out of a win, any win, it shows your lack of credibility. To call it embarrassing is pathetic. The only thing embarrassing is that somebody with your obviously low intellect bothers to post anything on here in the first place.

P.S. Before anybody starts jabbering on about a right to an opinion, I also have the right to say your opinion sucks. It's funny how only those who are on mindless rants about getting rid of Frawley, players etc use this as a defence. As an example I know Harry is not a Frawley fan I can live with that, to be honest I am not much either. At least on the whole however Harry makes some pertinent points, which he has obviously thought through. I respect that. Tigertime you get no respect at all.

getbacktoglorydays

You clearly missed the point.

You are a melbourne supporter and they deserve to have you.

You are not a richmond supporter. A richmond support would not support a course of direction that will ruin the football club. Richmond supporter do not support mediocrity. If they did, we would still be coached by the goose or 4walls.

Your petty comment that you are not a big fan of frawley demonstrates how spineless and mediocre you are. Take a stand.

:)

Yeah, what a great idea tigertime, let's go along the same path we've been travelling down for the last 20 or so years and sack our coaches mid season. Frawley deserves to at least see the season out, whether the players want him or not! They should just concentrate on getting a kick and winning a game and leave the rest to admin.

p.s - My brother-in-law is a "high profile" player and your comments re: absolute moron seem a bit far fetched.

Here, hear Laffs. This post is a bit like the Iraq war:- whats the point!
If anyone on that list thinks Frawley is a competant AFL coach, then who is the moron?
